What are some good ways to build a car out of regular Knex pieces?

How could I use a vacuum cleaner motor as a remote control car's motor?

Just that

Would i have to add some resistors or something? Im designing an rc car, and need to know if i can use an old vacuum cleaners motor. Simply because there bloody quick. I don't know how i would be able to control the speed of the motor. Please help, any additional info fill me in.

Wow, nah. You can do it. Your going to need a variable power distributed supply for the motor to contol it speed. And the cara gonna be huge. Say 1/4 scale I'm guess. But some transition gears and a strudy differential and you'll be flying down the road mate! A heavy duty servo or two. Some disk brakes for sure to stop the beast.
