places to see between sydney and mildura?
lanabanana
so im travelling with a mate in september from sydney to mildura, only staying for a few days, and was wondering if anyone knows any places we should take a look at on the way there? or anything interesting to do in mildura? all help would be appreciated!!!
thanks guys :)
Answer
Hi lanabanana,
It really depends how long you will take for this trip and what you like to see and do. According to whereis.com, it is 1015km and 10 hours straight driving. If you like galleries and coffee shops then you might want to duck off the highway and visit Moss Vale, Mittagong, Bowral and Berrima. Berrima in particular is worth taking the time to park the car and stroll around the town. When you get to Goulburn, do the touristy thing and visit the 'Big Merino'. If you don't mind a bit of a detour, it is worthwhile heading off at Gundagai towards Tumut then returning to the Hume Highway via Adelong. Tumut is very pretty. There is also the Yarrangobilly caves along this route (check with visitors info in Gundagai or at the 'Dog On The Tuckerbox'. Have a good trip
