To increase efficiency, the 7G-TRONIC AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS features a new torque converter "Fuel Economy" with centrifugal pendulum, bearings for low friction and thermal management of the gearbox oil. To further reduce power consumption contribute gears axle low friction, the sports steering parametric electromechanical optimization of the timing belt, setting "on-demand" for all sub-groups and all pumps. With four-wheel drive 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG uses a transfer case that distributes independent driving force for the 40% on the front axle and 60% on the rear axle, thereby ensuring a high driving dynamics.
