Answer
depending on the year you will never find out hahahahha. ull only see what the dealers have done but individuals do repairs without reporting it so you will never no everything... and sorry im not sure where you can go to get that info other than I think.. don't hold me to it but I think ebay motors... when u post a vehicle for sale there and go to ur page as if ur going to buy your car or looking at the ad it has a button to view the car fax or info on the car from previous owners.. im not sure if they still do this but I no when I sold a car a few years back it was there... and it was free... it told me all the previous owners and everything which can also show useful info as in if the car has been sold recently many times... usualy that's not a good sign haha.

What year and make is a car with vin RL21g2g107613?

Rudy

It says Satellite on the driver side. Its a car from before 1981.

Answer
look here for how to look up vehicle info by vin http://www.ask.com/questions-about/Free-VIN-Number-Check

Plymouth made a car called the Satellite 1965 - 1974 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_Satellite

added by edit "A 17-character Vehicle Identification Number has been put on every new car manufactured since 1981 for registration and identification purposes. Before 1981, the numbers were 11 to 17 characters long." so says this link at ehow http://www.ehow.com/how_7564725_check-vin-number-used-vehicle.html?ref=Track2&utm_source=ask Satellites were made before that so their vins might not be as long as modern vehicles.

lol before you say anything, this is not for me. I'm writing a novel, and one of the character's recent memories are completely wiped clean. After she disappeared for several days, she was found in a car surround by illegal drug paraphanalia, which authorities chalked up to her having memory loss. Any suggestions??
Not to be a pain, but if you could please justify/support your answer or have resources cited so i can make sure that info is solid

Answer
How Marijuana Causes Memory Deficits

ScienceDaily (Aug. 4, 2009) â Memory loss associated with marijuana use is caused by the drugâs interference with the brainâs natural protein synthesis machinery, according to a study published in Nature Neuroscience.

Though it has been documented that marijuana impairs memory, the precise mechanism for this memory impairment was previously unknown. Andrés Ozaita, of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain, along with colleagues in France and Germany, focused on THC, the main psychoactive chemical compound in marijuana, which acts on a specific class of receptors known as cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are known to affect the connection strength between neurons.

The scientists found that THC increases the activity of a pathway that promotes protein synthesis in the mouse brain. This transient increase of protein synthesis was mediated specifically by cannabinoid receptors expressed on the brainâs inhibitory neurons, and correlated with long-term memory deficits in mice. Interestingly, the authors also found that inhibition of this signaling pathway by rapamycin, an immunosuppressant drug used to prevent organ rejection following transplantation, prevents THC-induced amnesia in mice.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/08/090803123240.htm

A new study finds those who've used a lot of marijuana have worse memories and don't think as quickly.

It's not the first study to suggest pot hurts memory, but the findings are stark.

In one memory test, long-time uses remembered seven of 15 words, on average. Non-users remembered 12 of 15. On a decision-making test, those who had rarely smoked pot had impaired performance 8 percent of time, while long-term tokers had 70 percent impairment.

The results are detailed in the March 14 issue of the journal Neurology.

The study involved 64 people age 17 to 49 selected from a larger study group. They were split into three groups: those who had smoked four or more joints per week for more than 10 years; those who'd been smoking for five to 10 years; and those who had smoked at least once but not more than 20 times and not at all in the past two years.

The middle group consistently scored in between the other two.

"We found that the longer people used marijuana, the more deterioration they had in these cognitive abilities, especially in the ability to learn and remember new information," said Lambros Messinis of the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Patras in Patras, Greece

A separate study in Neurology last year found higher blood flow velocity in the marijuana users even a month after they stopped smoking. Researchers said the change could help explain other studies that have revealed memory problems in pot smokers

A Harvard Medical School study in 2003 found lasting memory impairment in people who had started smoking marijuana before age 17, when the brain is still forming.

And research published in November indicated that heavy marijuana use might put adolescents who are genetically predisposed to schizophrenia at greater risk of developing the brain disorder.

Some 3.1 million Americans age 12 and older use marijuana daily or almost daily, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. In 2004, 5.6 percent of 12th graders reported daily use of marijuana

Why should Zimmerman be found guilty just because he followed Martin?

Anonymous

When Zimmerman chose to follow Martin, he was not disobeying a law enforcement officer, he simply ignored the suggestion of a 9-11 dispatcher.

Sure, the fight would not have happened if Zimmerman stayed in his car.

But following that logic, Martin would not have been shot if he didn't punch and beat down Zimmerman.

There was no proof of who started the physical contact, but there was proof that Zimmerman was punched and having his head beat into the concrete. He feared for his life/sever bodily harm and used his gun as a last resort.

Answer
When you're a visitor in a gated community, it's normal for nosy neighbors to butt into your business to find out why they don't recognize you. The usual procedure is for the nosy neighbor to look at you inquiringly and ask, "Can I help you find something?"

The usual response is, "No, that's okay, I'm just visiting my uncle. He lives over on Maple Street. But thanks for asking."

"You're welcome."

It's also normal for security guards and neighborhood watch to be nosy and ask questions.

This happens thousands of times a day, and usually without incident. In fact, most of the time people are grateful because they can't find Maple Street and want to know how to get there. That happens all the time with plumbers, gardeners, the new au pair girl, etc.

Furthermore, it doesn't even need to be a gated community, just a neighborhood where people keep an eye out for each other.

UPDATE

Trayvon Martin was not a "young boy." He was 5'11, 158 pounds. (The news media has repeatedly published pictures showing what he looked like at age 12 and 13.) George Zimmerman was 5'8'', 3 inches shorter.

My mother in law INSISTS that we go to her family reunion in Colorado for fourth of July weekend this year. I am due to have my baby girl on June 21st so If everything goes to plan my child will not even be 2 weeks old. We live in Illinois and she is renting a 18 passenger van for 10 of us to drive there together. I am not going but she continues to guilt trip me about how all her grandchildren must be there. I began to look up the dangers of this trip for me and my child and although I did find some information most sites were talking about either flying or preparing for the trip. I could find very little about the medical complications that could occur not to mention the discomfort. Looking for some help. Thanks!

Answer
while the prolonged car ride wont make a difference to your child, it could cause you to get blood clots in your legs due to innactivity. this is a serious problem with women who have just given birth and can be fatal! i would also be concerned with how your child would be able to get enough rest (with all those people making a lot of noise and touching her all the time) and the quality of rest for everyone else! a 2 week old will need to be fed every 2 hours or so and that includes overnight! i would say that for everyones safety (and sanity) that you opt for a home celebration this year. maybe you can skyp or video chat instead? if MIL wont get off your back i would suggest a simple and firm no and just leave it at that, change the subject when she tries to talk about it. you've said no, and no is no! she needs to understand that now or your in for a life time of "but grandma said we could have all those cookies" even after you said no.

What is a good car to run on biodiesel?

sfacets

I am thinking of getting a car, but wish to run it on biodiesel... for that I am told it is good to have a tough reliable motor, so my question is: what is a good, reliable, cheap, fuel-efficient, and biodiesel capable car?

Answer
Awesome!!!

There's tons of info on the Web from biodiesel enthusiasts. Here are a few:
http://www.biodieselamerica.org/biodiesel_car_guide
http://www.veggievan.org/
http://www.cartalk.com/content/eco/fringe.html#biodiesel

If you're thinking used, the biodiesel folks around here seem to love Mercedes and VWs. There seems to be some fear of American makes, but I don't know how much of that is just politics. Biodiesel is pretty safe for any diesel.

If you're thinking new, you're outta luck -- but that's actually GOOD news. You know how the auto industry has kind of ignored diesel for years? Partly they were waiting for the Federal government to address diesel emissions, and for 2007 the Federal government finally made sweeping changes in fuel formulations and emissions standards.

So many automakers which didn't have diesel cars before, are jumping on the bandwagon and coming out with new clean diesels. They weren't ready for the 2007 model year (August 2006) but you'll start seeing them for the 2008 model year.

Hello

I have a 97 1.2 mk1 renault clio and when the engine is warm like when ive just been to a petrol station it is very hard to start (normaly takes 5 trys).
When I start it up in the morning it is fine and when the car is idleing like at traffic lights it sometimes stalls.
I have tryed cleaning the throttle body and it dident work.

Ive herd it could be the coolant temreture senser or the tdc sener for starting bad when warm and it could be the idle control valve on the throttle body for stalling but the icv is intagrated into the throttle body.

Eny ideas what it could be? or should i just get a diagnbostic?

Thanks

What happened in episode seven of Make It Or Break It, Run Emily Run?

heey ; its

I missed the episode, due to vacation. Please, I don't want websites where I can watch previous episodes. I just want a summary of the episode, I saw a question like this, and I can't find it now, so I'm putting my own up. Please, tell me what happens! A complete thing, as much detail as possible, please!

Answer
I still have it on my DVR I will watch it and tell you... here it goes

Starts at the Rock with the girls bickering about whether Sasha will still be mad about Emily messing up at the invitational. Kaylie then shows off the necklace that Carter gave her to Lauren. Lauren has a look of jealousy and you figure she is up to something.
Next, Sasha is talking with a lady (MJ) who seems to be a ex of his. She is there to film the girls who are in the running for nationals. Sasha then looks to the side and sees Emily is training. He goes over to her and asks her what she is doing there. Emily responds and says she is training. Sasha tells her she is no longer allowed to train there because he believes that she is not of the level required to train there. Everyone is surprised that she has been kicked out, minus Lauren.
Next scene involves Emily and Dameon at the Pizza Shack where she tells him that Sasha kicked her out. Emily says in order to convince Sasha, she needs to land the dismount that she missed at the invitational. Dameon tells her he will help her train at the Rock at night. The girls show up and talk to Emily, when Payson's dad shows up delivering beer.
Next scene starts with Payson's parents fighting about the fact that Payson's dad was laid off and didn't tell the family. The two sisters are in there room listening and the younger one tells Payson that this is her fault. Payson has a look of guilt.
Now switches to Kaylie franctically searching for her necklace while on the phone with Lauren who is holding it in her hands while trying to sound slightly concerned about the fact that Kaylie has lost it.
Next, Emily and Dameon are sneaking into the gym when we find out that Dameon can pick locks. They bounce start bouncing on the gym mat and after some playful pushing Dameon falls on top of Emily and they stay there looking into each others eyes, but Dameon stops gets up and picks her up and helps her practice.
Next scene Sasha tells MJ about who he thinks will make it at nationals. MJ brings up Emily and Sasha tells her that although Emily does have raw talent, the fact that she has not had someone to coach her, will keep her from ever trusting him as a coach.
Next, Kaylie and Payson are looking for necklace and Lauren shows up to be a mean person but in a sly way. She brings up how MJ has a cool job and how one of her friends is making millions for Kelly Parker. Payson gets a look in her eyes when she hears this.
Payson comes up to MJ as she is leaving and brings up that she is interested in MJ being her agent in order to help her make money. MJ shows her a binder with info on how she will make her money, Payson accepts and they "seal the deal" with a handshake.
New scene starts with Kaylie in her car crying and Summer showing up and asking her what the problem is. Kaylie tells her she lost her necklace. Summer says she will help her look for it and asks for a description which Kaylie gives. Summer remembers seeing it on Lauren and tells Kaylie that she is sure it will turn up soon.
Next The Keeler family are discussing that there Father will take his old job in Minnessota. Payson says she talked to MJ and how she will make her more money. The parents both say no to this and give reasons why. Payson gets mad and says that they don't believe that she can make it and that is why they are saying now.
Back to Emily and Dameon at the gym. Emily is trying to make her routine harder and adds a new move to it. After one try, she eats it. Second time she gets Dameon to help her by telling her when to flip. She sticks it the second time and Dameon runs up and hugs her. They stare again and after trying for a kiss, Emily says she needs to continue practice.
New scene at the Rock. Emily shows up uninvited nails the trick. Everyone seems impressed except for Sasha. He goes up to her and gives his reasons why he will not take her back. Sasha tells her to move on with her life. Emily leaves.
Next, Emily is running at the park and practicing some flips and other things to some music in the background. (I thought this part of the show was kinda lame, so I fastfowarded it.)
Summer figures out a way of getting Lauren to give back the necklace to Kaylie without actually telling her straightout that she stole it. She then gives her a lesson about how she has to earn a place with her friends and at the gym.
Paysons parents are talking about what they will do about the current circumstances and both agree that Payson taking the sponsorship is not the way.
Next scene is Emily and her mom at the playground sitting on the swings talking. Her mom tells her that she is a strong woman and that eventually everything will cool down and she will be able to go back to the gym. Her mom comes up with a story about how Emily is a "Mighty Mighty Khemetko." Emily says she doesn't want to do that. She says she is tired of fighting and just wants to quit. Her mom says she is not a quitter but says if that is what she wa

How much can you make for having google adsense ads on your webpage?

big_j_gizz

What is the cost per click price and is there a limit per month on how much you can earn? Thanks.

Answer
You will never know the cost per click price as it depends on (a) bids of the advertisers which fluctuate; and (b) smartpricing which can discount the value of the click. Adsense is one of Google's main revenue sources, so the more money a publisher can bring in, the better for them. So no, there is no limit.

In terms of earning money on Adsense, your mileage varies. One website with 10,000 uniques a day can earn $50 a month while another may earn $5,000. It is not easy to predict how much you will earn from Adsense. The only way you can learn about how your site will perform with Adsense is through trying it.

The amount you can earn will depend on the

1. Responsiveness of audience to the ads = A travel website that provides information on travel to Spain will attract visitors looking for ways to arrange their travel and spend money on their vacation to Spain. Your site provides the info, but the ads will provide hotels, travel agencies, tourist destinations, car rentals -- ads that are likely to get the attention of the users of your site. This is a site that will most likely do well with Adsense. However, if you are a gaming website where the main purpose of the user is to play games on your site, then Adsense will not perform as well.

2. Ad format = some types of ads do better than others depending on your content and layout. In our case, large rectangles in the middle of the content is the best, while leaderboards do not generate as much as income. Skys are the worst for us. Experiment and measure the results via channels and see which formats work best for you.

3. Ad placement - check Google's heat map as they have tested where the best placements are https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=17954&ctx=en:search&query=adsense+heat+map&topic=0&type=f

4. Ad colors - sometimes ads blended into the content works wonders, but sometimes ads that contrast your site colors work best

5. Number of ad units on a page = we are allowed maximum of 3 ads + 1 ad links + 1 search box on a page. Maximize the allowed number based on the resulting look of your page (you don't want an overkill of ads). Users going to your page and reading your content may ignore the banner or rectangle at the top of the page, but may click on the ad at the bottom of the article

6. Smartpricing - the big unknown in Adsense. No one knows how this actually works. But it can affect the pricing of the ads on your site. If the advertiser paid for $0.50/click - but your site is smartpriced - then the cost may be discounted lower (e.g. $0.25). So you may try to develop a site based on high paying keywords but if smartpricing gets to you, then you may not get as much per click as what you are expecting from your keywords.

Here is Google's explanation of smart pricing https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=9562&query=smart+pricing&topic=0&type=f

Google's smart pricing feature automatically adjusts the cost of a keyword-targeted content click based on its effectiveness compared to a search click. So if our data shows that a click from a content page is less likely to turn into actionable business results -- such as online sales, registrations, phone calls, or newsletter signups -- we reduce the price you pay for that click.

Experiment with the factors above (except smartpricing, which you can't control), and see which combination works best. Remember though that not all sites do well with Adsense - even if you get gazillions of traffic but your visitors are not interested in looking for ways to spend their money, they won't be interested in your ads and won't click.

How can you get good with google adsense?

Light-san

I want to get good with Google Adsense and like products really fast so I can earn money. I know it is a gamble however, I would really like to know how I could make money with the program. Can you suggest any books that would teach me how to make money with such products and name a couple like products other than google adsense?

Answer
I don't recommend any books with Adsense. By the time these books are published the information is already obsolete

Read Adsense blog and optimization tips in the Adsense help instead. Also attend the optimization webinars that Adsense regularly organizes

I travel a lot. My car does not have a big gas tank. The trunk is carpeted. I know to fill the plastic gas container on the ground but then what? Can I just put it in the trunk? I have heard that it sliding around on the carpeted trunk could cause a static charge build up that could end with a bang.

Answer
There is no safe way to transport fuel, but there used to be a product in auto parts stores with the name "emergency fuel" or similar; no other info on it, sorry. Just know your vehicles mpg and don't let the tank get too low :]

What is the maximum gas mileage for a clunker car to qualify for the cash for clunkers Program?

garmian5

I have a 98 Saturn SL Car with 28mpg. Does it qualify for that Program?

Answer
Unfortunately no.
Cars that get 28 mpg are not considered a gas guzzling -polluting-clunker.
I believe the figure for cars is 18 mpg or worse.
The government has set up a website exclusively for the C.A.R.S act 2009, which will give you all the restrictions and also a step-by-step tutorial as to how to find the original MPG ratings .
After Thursday, (06-25-09) there will be additional info on Fords website too.
Ford was/is istrumental in helping NHTSA and D.O.T set up the program.
Dealers that participate will be able to walk you through the process seemlesly.
The gonvernment website will publish the Dealers that are registered to participate.
Being as how the program is not in affect yet, they don't have the dealer lists updated at this time. However you can check the site frequently and/or sign up for e-mail alerts from them.

Answer
If no insurance card and you can't contact owner you can't verify if the car's insured. It's the drivers responsibility to ensure the car is insured. Get stopped and you will get cited for no proof of insurance. If the car isn't insured you'll lose your license when you appear in court. Have an accident and you could be paying the damages out of pocket.

Advantages and disadvantages.
How the UK is affected by the Primary secondary and tertiary sector of the Chinese economy.
Basically Im writing an assignment on how the Chienese economy affects the UK around 2000 words, need as much help as possible, websites, info the lot all help is fully appreciated. Please and Thankyou to all contributions.

Answer
As economies grow, they tend to shift their resources towards the tertiary sector, which is what UK and USA have done over the years. Developing countries like China, India, or Bangladesh focus more on their primary and secondary sectors because they are still "agriculture based" economies (at least Bangladesh and India are). China has a strength as an industrial state (secondary sector - manufactured goods, etc) and even that is evolving into a more tertiary based economy.

Now, when you pick up anything on the streets of UK, whether its a towel, t-shirt or even your new iPod set, chances are that you'll be looking at something "Made in China". Now, the implications for UK mainly concern its trade with China.

Let me give a simple example first: Suppose that UK is importing all its manufactured goods ranging from home appliances to cars, from China. Now if there is extensive growth in the Chinese economy and let's say there is inflation, then UK consumers would be paying higher prices for those products. This would not only result in "imported inflation" but would also cause the pound to depreciate in the international market (because to pay higher prices, more pounds would be spent in the international currency market) therefore depreciating the pound sterling (but this wouldn't happen because the pound is fixed in its value).

UK will be affected by the changes in these sectors that happen in the Chinese economy. For example, if China gradually phases out its primary sector where farmers would get fresh produce off to the UK, then UK may need to find another trading parter. China may slowly phase out its focus on the primary sector because it is the sector that results in the lowest revenues as compared to capital goods or services.

You could be more specific in the question in btw :)

How might I import a Nano car from India?

Baby_Astro

This website has info on the car, $2,500 and 50 miles per gallon: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17984516

Answer
Different countries have different laws.

In Canada you can import, insure, and drive any car from any country (regardless of it passing the Canadian stipulations for it's class and year) that is I believe ten or fifteen years old.

However that varies with each Country.

I would contact your automobile insurance office, your local government transport office, and your local customs office (to see the costs involved).

As this car does not appear to be available in the country in which you live I would imagine you would have a great deal of difficulty importing and insuring it for use on your public streets.
If you are able to import it, you might be restricted to private property use. However, as it's less costly then many golf carts it might still be worth it.

Just for fun, visit the Tata Nano mini site, you can virtually customize a Nano. This will allow you to see all of the interior and exterior colors and options to see what is available and what you would like the best on your possible new car.

Best of luck, I love seeing imported cars in countries where they were never available.

P.S. Talk to a lawyer as a last case scenario, there's always the "Grey market" option that might be available. Your lawyer should know what I'm talking about.

Answer
Some ideas:

1. Offer the best products you can. Your content is your best advertisement - if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.

2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important -- and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends.

3. Rank well in the search engines (organic search results, not the pay per click). SEs can be a big source of traffic. The key is to create the best content in your niche. If you have good content, other websites will gladly link to you and offer your site as a resource to their audience. Check the on-page factors and be sure to get linked from authority sites in your topic area. Read "Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone 26 steps to 15k a day." http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm

4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News.

5. Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website.

6. Syndicate your content with RSS feeds. This is like an autopilot way of driving traffic to a site. If you've got a feed that users want, then they will come to your site

7. Search engine advertising. When doing PPC, monitor your ROI carefully and watch your keywords

8. Offline advertising - from car stickers with your site URL to press interviews to networking in your business community

forza 4, bonus cars confusion??, please help if you know?

forza 4 car info image

Danny

Basically, i have pre ordered the limited edition of forza 4 in order to get the bonus cars, dlc package apparently, but im now wondering if i need xbox live to recieve these some how, or if they will be installed on the disc, please help if you have any idea how it works, same would apply for forza 3 same thing i would have thought, thanks alot

Answer
There is limited information about this out there right now, so I'm just going to give yo an OPINION. I'm not 100% sure if it's correct. Usually when they give you these DLC content "tokens" or codes or whatever it's basically just a free download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.. so my guess is that you will need XBL in order to get the bonus cars.

It could be possible that they're on a 2nd disc like there was with Forza 3, but as I said before, there's a limited amount of info on Forza 4 at the moment. Since you're getting the LCE and you'll be getting the codes, they probably won't expire (I'd be very surprised if they did) so you could just get them if you decided to get XBL back somewhere along the line.

I hope it all works out for you and I hope they have more info out soon. I can't wait for this game, it's going to be awesome :D

What xbox games can you play on xbox 360??

Q. I have both systems but i want 2 play halo 1,2 on the 360 b/c my controllers are broken for the xbox. Can i play halo or any other regular xbox games on the xbox 360??

Answer
You can play Xbox games on your 360 that includes Halo. Any Xbox games can be played on Xbox. Here are the top Xbox 360 games:

1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
After all of the hype and delays and waiting and worrying, Bethesda has delivered The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In a rare feat for a game of this magnitude, it not only lives up to expectations but also surpasses them to create an experience that everyone can enjoy and not just the nerdy, dice rolling, RPG-elite. Oblivion is one of the best games available right now and is well worth the $60 investment.

2. Rainbow Six: Vegas
In the same way Ubisoft âfixedâ Splinter Cell with Chaos Theory and Ghost Recon with Advanced Warfighter, the Rainbow Six series has been reborn in a more accessible, and ultimately far superior version in Rainbow Six: Vegas. It looks fantastic, plays amazingly well, and is filled with features and modes that will keep you playing for weeks to come. Rainbow Six: Vegas is a great game that is highly recommended.

3. Fight Night Round 3
Fight Night Round 2 was one of our favorite Xbox games of 2005 so Round 3 had some pretty high expectations to meet. Amazingly, EA has delivered a boxing experience that easily surpasses everything that Round 2 had to offer. The gameplay is absolutely phenomenal and the graphics on the Xbox 360 are amazing. Not only is this the best boxing game ever but it is also one of the best Xbox 360 games available.

4. Gears of War
You would think that after all of the hype and coverage Gears of War has gotten over the last year or so, that there would be no way it could live up to expectations. But it does. It meets those expectations and even exceeds them. This is one of the best looking and best playing games of 2006. And youâll only find it on Xbox 360.

This is a must own game and youâll only find it on Xbox 360.

There is no greater feeling than when you tweak and tune your custom painted car for hours until it drives exactly how you want it. Or when you make a really nice custom graphic design and then it sells for a high amount in the auction house. Forza 2 is a great game that is accessible enough to appeal to a wide audience despite the fact racing sims are historically only for the hardcore.

Recommending Dead Rising is easy based on your reaction to the following statement: All you do in Dead Rising is run around a mall and kill thousands of zombies in hundreds of different ways. If you first thought is âWow, that will get repetitive after a whileâ, you should probably rent it. If, however, your first thought is âThat is everything I ever dreamed of and wished for in a zombie gameâ, then Dead Rising is worth a purchase. It really is as simple as that.

There is something really intriguing about the Harvest Moon-meets-Animal Crossing-meets-Pokemon-meets-The Sims type of gameplay featured here. It looks amazing, is surprisingly deep, and is one of the most addictive games of the year. Donât be fooled by the âkids gameâ look, Viva Piñata is a great game that is highly recommended for Xbox 360 gamers of any age.

9. Hitman: Blood Money
Eidos is on a roll this year. First they brought the Tomb Raider franchise back from the dead and now Hitman gets a much needed facelift. Blood Money has all of the things that made the Hitman series great to begin with but makes everything more accessible, gives you a lot more to do, and coats everything with a very nice looking layer of graphical goodness. The beauty of it all is that you can play however you want, so stealth and action fans alike will find a lot to love here.

10. Guitar Hero II
The Guitar Hero games represent two of the most addictive and fun games to come out in the last several years, and now we can finally experience the fun on Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II includes extra songs, downloadable content, leaderboards, and enhanced graphics that set it a step above the PS2 version. There isn't any sort of online play and we're not really fans of the new guitar design, but Guitar Hero II on Xbox 360 is still an amazing game that is highly recommended.

Good Luck and have Fun!!

im looking to buy a used car but befor i go see it first hand i want to check its history. so i figure id contact the owner and ask they tell me the cars info so i can run one from my home.
i figure i would need the cars make, model. year, and vin. is that all?

Answer
All you really need is the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). CarFax will provide all the rest of the information. Your insurance agent will also need the VIN if you decide to buy the car.

What do I do if I've been wrongfully charged in a car crash that I nor my car was in?

Joel

I received a notice from the Bureau of Financial Responsibility that I need to pay for damages in a car crash that took play on May 14, 2007. The car info (i.e., VIN, tag, make & model) are correct, but it wasn't my car. The crash took place in Tampa, FL. I live on the east coast of Florida in Martin County. Neither I nor my car was involved in this crash. The crash report lists another person as the driver, whom I've never met, but since the crash report gives my tag and car information, the Bureau says I'm responsible!

I'm trying to sort out this mess, but the Bureau, the High Patrol office in Tampa and some other gov offices don't have a procedure and seemingly don't know how to help. It's sort of "Too bad, but we don't make mistakes" or a "Can't help you there. It's your info so that makes you guilty" attitude. I've called the trooper leaving messages. I'm still waiting.

Does anyone know what or who I can go to regarding this? Has this happened to anyone before?

Answer
They obviously got your tag mixed up with the real driver's tag. I would contact the traffic supervisor for the patrol and straighten it out with him.

Car vs Truck Frame?

car crash news victoria image

Great Whit

Other than the obvious difference in length, what is the difference between a car frame and a truck frame? And why do they "ride" differently?

Answer
A few things I would also add to what some have mentioned previously....

BOF "Body on Frame"... Just imagine the whole body, seats, dashboard, benches, doors/roof, all just being pulled upwards, and placed on a frame which hs the mechanicals...shocks, engine, tires, etc.

Unibody, it's a complete skeleton like most cars... currently there's only one passenger car which is "Body on Frame" that is the Ford Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Town Car. They are build on a frame, which is why they are popular with taxi fleets, police depts...you can throw one on a curb, and not think twice about it...you can't do that with an Impala or Magnum. So if your in a situation where you must HIT a vehicle, don't pick this, pick a Toyota or Kia.

But overall like anything else, they both have their advantages, and disadvantages. The truck is much more durable, specifically if the frame is open "C" channel, or fully boxed. A good example if the Ford F-150, it's totally boxed. Now the new Tundra, chose to go with an open "C" channel, which isn't really recommended for serious work, and as it is, it only got 4 stars in the governments crash testing days ago.

Also, the tighter and solid the frame, the quieter and much more solid the shocks work. Less shake/flex in the body, just a much more durable and quieter product...which is why the F-150 leads in quietness and handling.

Now as comparison, take a Honda Ridgeline which is car based unibody, which supposedly Honda's news release tried alot of spin saying it's not a car platform, but I've disected the vehicle, and yes...it's an Oddysey with a few more structural members. What happens is, to get the vehicle to be a bit more rugged, the Unibody construction requires much more reinforcement...in turn, causing what otherwise would be a platform of a car that weights around 3000lbs, increase a good 1500lbs more and still, it's no where near as capable. Case in point, the towing/hauling capacity is almost carlike, reports of shock failures are pretty high, etc.

Also, Body on Frame construction is cheaper to produce overall. Ford is making about $10-15K profit on each F-150, while the Ridgeline is not meeting sales expectations, requiring rebates and it's cheapest model is around $5-6K more than a regular BOF truck, not allowing Honda to post much of a profit to where they have been thinking of possibly discontinuing the vehicle in 2-3 years.

I'm going to give you a link, which compares the F-150 with many of the competitors and the video is pretty interesting, in small 2 minute video scenes, which describe the benefits of it's frame, how it compares to others...everything down to showing you what the frame is, what it looks like, the bolts used, etc. It's pretty interesting learn.

Hope that helps ;-)

Honda Accord or Toyota Camry?

data

Looking for a nice family car under $15,000, so I'm looking at a late ('06 or newer) model used Camry or Accord 4 cylinder. What you get and why? Is one safer? More reliable? Less expensive to repair?

Answer
Well you have rounded the choice down to two worthy adversaries. Both cars are very well made but I would have to side with Honda on this dilemma you are in for the simple matter that Honda is better. Honda was awarded #5 Best in Overall Quality by JD Power. Let Me just list the Pros and Cons

2006 Honda Accord:
Pros:
- 4-cylinder engine was the new K-series
- An Excellent 5-speed automatic transmission offers acceleration with Great Fuel economy (Low RPM Cruising)
- 4-cylinder Honda Accord is the first production car in the world to meet California's Super Ultra Low Emission standards
- New rear end styling compated to 2003 Model
- LED taillights
- Daytime running lights
- Heated side mirrors for EX models
- Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), also known as Electronic Stability Control
- New wheel designs
- New steering wheel cover
- Differently colored gauges
- Differently styled shift knob for automatic transmission models
- 4-cylinder engine's horsepower was increased to 166HP
- The 4-cylinder engines were now controlled with Drive-By-Wire (DBW), rather than a throttle cable, providing for smooth operation and enhanced throttle response.
- Excellent Interior Quality
- Comfortable Seating makes it perfect for long trips

Cons:
- Seats have a carpet like pattern
- Honda has been criticized for having road noise but consumers do say they do not notice

I really do not want to bother put the pros and cons for the Toyota Camry since the 2006 Camry and 2007 Camry are different and the list would take forever to type and because Toyota really copies much of what Honda does and I do not like them. They also have been sued for patent infringement and Toyota Executives told News Reporter that Toyota has buried much of their accident statistics so they would not have to pay the many people who have been injured from their vehicles but I will give you a list of cars near your price range:

Used Sedans (These cars will be Roomy and around 20,000):
2005-2008 Cadillac STS V6/V8 (RWD 0-60 5.9-7sec)(Best Buy: Cadillac is number 3 in overall quality and reliability and the STS has all leather interior with excellent exterior and interior design and most importantly american made)
2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan (RWD 0-60 5.8 sec)
2001-2007 Lexus LS 430 (RWD 0-60 5.9 sec)(#5 Best Used Car Buy by Automobile Magazine)
2005-2008 Chrysler 300C (RWD 0-60 7.5 sec) (#7 BestBuy for Used Cars)
2008 Honda Accord LX/LX Premium (FWD 0-60 7.7 sec)
2006 Lexus IS 250 ( RWD 0-60 7.9 sec)
2004-2008 Acura TL (FWD 0-60 6.5 sec) (Technically American because Acura is only in America and was intended for the US by Honda)
2005-2008 Dodge Charger SXT/R/T/SRT-8 (RWD 5.7-6.8 sec)
2000-2005 Lexus IS 300 (RWD 0-60 7.8 sec)
2003-2008 Mercury Grand Marquis (RWD 0-60 8.7 sec) (#2 Most Reliable Car in the United States to this date and has side crash testing at speed of 70 mph instead of 30)
1998-2007 Ford Crown Victoria (RWD 0-60 8.9 sec)
2004-2006 Audi A6 (RWD 0-60 6.5 sec)
2002-2006 Jaguar X Type (RWD 0-60 7.4 sec)
2000-2005 Jaguar S Type (RWD 0-60 7.3 sec)
2003-2007 Cadillac CTS (RWD 0-60 6.8 sec) (Looks were controversial because of so many sharp angles buy is came out alright)

How does the Britax infant car seat compare to others?

trish g

I just had my third baby boy and need to purchase a new car seat. I think I want to get the Britax from target because of the side impact feature. I'm just wondering how other parents feel about it.
Thanks in advance.

Answer
Infant seats are all pretty similar - so in my opinion it really doesn't pay to get a pricier one. Especially considering it will only last 5-7 months anyway. However, I'm a bit biased b/c I don't think infant carriers are good at all. They are way overused. Check out the links and info below, if you're interested in what's happening to our babies spending all their time in these seats outside the car.

Britax makes high quality products and their infant seat is no different. Easy to install (but then so is the Graco SafeSeat1). However, the very side impact protection drawing you to it actually poses a problem with some infants, pushing their head so far forward it falls forward cutting off their airway.

If I were going to spend that much money on an infant seat, I would get the Graco SafeSeat. lasts a lot longer b/c it goes to a whopping 30lbs instead of the usual 22lbs. And even better the base has built-in locking clips making it THE easiest to install base out there and assuring you never have to use a locking clip with it. Definitely a better buy, easy to use seat. The only potential problem with it is that it takes up more room (front to back) than standard infant seats. So if you have a tiny car, it might not be the seat for you.

How could I learn about the history of my house?

1950 car info on ... of 20 vintage car advertisements from what looks like the 1950s
1950 car info image

Raeann

I live in an old house that dates back to before the 1920s. I'd like to try and learn about some of the people who have lived here. Maybe find out if anyone has died here. My dad tells me that apparently the state police used to rent out the attic way back when they still used horses, but he doesn't really know much other than that. I'm hoping to be able to find out some of this information online. So does anyone possibly know of a site I could look this up on?

Answer
Old house - 1920's - is NOT very old when it comes to houses, so there is not going to be a ton of information found.
It's possible only 2-3 families have ever lived there.

The "horse" thing is really throwing me off here.
By the 1920s only large cities utilized the "horse patrol" -- certainly NOT the State Police.
We had bullet proof cars with fast engines in the 20s.

And the State Police would be headquartered usually in a State Capital --- Do you live in your State Capital?

There ARE two reasons a State Police agency would use horses in the 1920s to present;

1 - It is a very old tradition for Police agencies to have a "Mounted State Police Unit", but NOT State Police.
There is only ONE - the Massachusetts State Police Mounted Unit.
Though I am thinking once upon a time there could have been more.
The Massachusetts Unit is kind of a club, these a pretty much show horses, they do some fancy "hoof" work, and look awesome all decked out in their fancy police gear.
If your home area WAS used in some part by a State Police Mounted Unit - the attic could have been used as a club meeting house and / or a place to store their fancy gear and uniforms.
[Mounted Police units DO have competitions]

2 - If you live in a Western state, a far Northern heavily wooded state, or a Rocky Mountain state --- state police agencies will occasionally STILL use Mounted Units --- for lost individuals and for a posse -- back in 1920 to 1950 they would have been used more due to the lack of navigable roads.
Maybe a past resident was an officer or US marshall involved in this sort of thing and maybe the attic and the house in general was used as a staging point and a place to store gear.

I cannot fathom any other possible reason the STATE would pay a civilian to rent his attic, of all things --- that was involved with horses.
A lot of this depends on where you live --- if you actually live in a city, one that is not a state capital, then it would not be the state police but a city police involvement instead.

But this info will give you some focus when you are trying to match up names with this unusual, yet very interesting arrangement.

Head online to your city / county government offices [it depends on the size of your city as to who controls this] --- locate your city / county records office and PLAT office - this will advise you of their procedure for getting this info, you'll probably have to fill out a form for request.
There are also many tax records available.
You'll be able to gather some names and some history of the area back in the 20s.

The PLAT office is a MUST - A plat is basically a map, showing the divisions of a piece of land --- from the very beginning -- as was it part of a farm, did it have a staple, how large the original property was, any underground water, who purchased it originally, who did he sell it to, topographic or vegetation information. City, town or village plats show subdivisions into blocks with streets and alleys as the neighborhood grew ---- you can usually get more info from a plat than records.
They also include any building permits and such --- so more names.
There might be something on that map that explains the horses.

Contact your state police headquarters and ask who handles your state police history as you are trying to ascertain whether your state had a "Mounted State Police" unit or any sort of mounted police between 1920 and 1950-- the unit historian will have the information you need, especially if you inform them that the state actually rented part of your property for its use with the horses ---- if it never had one, try your city police.

Your BEST information would actually come from someone who lives in your area. An elderly resident in their 80s would actually REMEMBER the people that lived in the house in the 1930s.
Ask around - if there is an elderly resident somewhere near your home, go up, introduce yourself and ask them who used to live in your house.

Answer
WILLIAM P. LEAR (1902 - 1978)

Audio, automotive and aircraft apparatus

Bill From the 1930s to the 1960s, William Powell Lear earned over 100 patents for groundbreaking electronic devices in three industries, including the first practical automobile radio, the airplane radio-compass and autopilot, and the eight-track tape player.

Born in Hannibal, Missouri in 1902, Lear attended public school in Chicago only through the eighth grade. During World War I, at age 16, he joined the Navy; after the War, he became a pilot. Here, Lear received the training that fueled a lifetime of invention in electronic technology.

At the age of 20, Lear founded Quincy Radio Laboratory, the first of his many companies. In the late 1920s Lear was contracted by Galvin Manufacturing Corporation in Chicago to assist Galvin engineers with a car radio design project. Later, a car radio patent was issued to Lear (U.S. patent 1,944,139). In 1930 Galvin Manufacturing introduced this car radio as the "Motorola." It was one of the first commercially successful car radios, and the first major product for the company that later became Motorola, Inc. Paul V. Galvin created the Motorola brand from "motor" (motorcar) + "ola" (sound).

Meanwhile, Lear turned his attention to airplanes. By the beginning of the Second World War, he had invented the first reliable aeronautical radio compass, as well as the "Learmatic Navigator"âan automatic pilot system, which kept planes on course by locking into whatever radio broadcasts the apparatus picked up.

During World War II, Lear's companies were a major source of the technology that helped make an Allied victory possible. Lear followed up his War effort by perfecting miniature autopilots for fighter jets, and by developing the first fully automatic landing system. This latter invention won Lear the FAA's Collier Trophy, bestowed on

insurance or not, make sure who ever does it, is local. what happens is they sell you on a windshield and come to you. selling you on the idea that they are willing to travel great distances to serve you. but any free follow up/chip repair after, you will have to go to them. and, they may require you to leave it there for half a day. that's a serious catch to me. because you can get $20 guaranteed chip repair at most any local place and sometimes even a temp road side stand. so, for instance, driving to them, leaving vehicle, and driving home, may cost more than $20.
so it can actually cost you more to get their free chip repair, than just finding a local place to do it.
in which case, the "deal" they offer you, that includes a "special"(chip repair) is non existent. they will not, in most cases, knowing where you live, not volunteer that info.

5. Project Gotham Racing 3
Project Gotham Racing 3 is the sequel to one of the best racing games on the Xbox and it is also a showcase title for the Xbox 360 so it had a lot of hype to live up to. Thankfully, it delivers everything fans expected plus a whole lot more. It features a ton of cars and tracks, it plays great both online and off, and it looks and sounds absolutely gorgeous. This is a must own game and youâll only find it on Xbox 360.

6. Forza Motorsport 2
Forza Motorsport 2 is one of the most addictive and deeply satisfying racing games you will ever play.

7. Dead Rising

8. Viva Pinata
Back when I first saw the E3 2006 footage of Viva Piñata, I knew it was going to be a cult hit.

Best R3 Class car in Forza 3?

Muss

I have an R8 with 9.3 or 9.6 Acceleration and Launch, just under 7 Handling and Braking and 8ish Speed. It doesn't handle very well but is very quick. I'm lvl 28 so my next gifted cars will be the Bugatti and the Viper. Either of those better than the R8?

Thanks All!

Answer
Hi Ok the R8 is a very nice car and is good for most of the purposes the closest cars to these will be the bugatti because it is AWD as well it is tricky in handling but very smooth and quick in acceleratiıon another car you will receive as a gift later is gt3 porsche again AWD this car is more of a superb handling car and very good acceleration in low speeds around up to 90 miles if you are looking for a very good handling car that is not gifted i would suggest you the RS4 or any s class audi or c32 amg which also has incredible acceleration or the m3 or m6 if you have the dlc both have good top speed and for the viper the car is a dissapointment in this game they kind of underestimated it about it's speed hope my info helps as a forza 3 fan and have a great time playing and don't forget the 4th one will be out soon
