How could I get my car to Australia?

car info nz on New Zealand Beaches
car info nz image

ilovefried

I know you can't drive on water, I'm more asking for details about how to get it shipped. For example, what company should I use?
From the Western US Coast

Answer
I haven't seen a left hand drive vehicle on the road for years, and I'd guess it's either because every state insists on conversion and/or it's too expensive and more trouble than it's worth.

These people handle shipping of cars from the US to Australia and their website has heaps of other info.

Reasons why the nz driving age should be raised to 18.?

ditto

I'm doing a debate and on the affirmative side for: The NZ driving age should be raised to 18. I need some info on death tolls etc but don't know where to look.

Answer
Increase the Driving Age to 18
http://tinyurl.com/58r26o

New Zealand's solution to reduce accidents is to eliminate driving
http://tinyurl.com/6jjcoo

(Less drivers, less car accidents plus it's better for the environment [reduce green house gases] and increases public transport [thus spreading out the costs by increasing the amount of public transit users so each rider will pay less or some tax dollars will be saved])

Does anyone know any interesting facts about Indiana?

Broccoli E

I need some help with an essay I'm doing on Indiana. I'm having a really hard time finding info on it. If anyone knows enough info to use in a 5 paragraph essay, that would help a lot. I need some interesting facts.

Note: I'm doing an essay, not a report. Knowing things such as the state flower and stuff will not help me. Please tell me lots of info.

Thank you guys so much!
Also, it is INDIANA, a state in the US. Not the country India. Thanks to those that answered!

can I drive my car with my American driver license in Dubai even if i have a Visit visa?

car info uae image

REEM

Some of friends told me that i can drive rent a car if i want to drive with my American Driver License if i have visit visa, Is that right? But i don't want to rent a car i already have my husband car

Answer
International Driving Permits and overseas driving licences are not valid for driving private cars in the UAE.
A temporary driving license is issued if you want to drive a private car in Dubai but don't have a residency visa to be able to obtain a full UAE driving license eg visitors on visit visas, expats waiting for residence visa processing. You obtain it from a traffic police station (there's one next to Mall of the Emirates in Al Barsha) and it's valid for six months. Bring:

Your home country passport, driving license and copies - your licence and passport are supposed to be from the same country.
Copy of whatever visa you have for the UAE (or passport if it's stamped, or e-gate card if not) - if you have a residence visa you are not supposed to be able to obtain a temporary driving licence.
International Driving Permit from the same country as your licence. As of early 2007 this appears to be more necessary than previously but you never know if/when rules or interpretations of them change.

Can you people please tell me a career that 1. Doesn't have a boss 2.Doesn't involve sitting at a desk?

Stray Melo

3. Is fun and interactive 4. Pays too
I have a very restless nature and I am unable to work a desk job for more than 5 months max and I need some purpose or sense of having a purpose while working and I have been unable to find it so far. Please guys & gals help me out here and tell me some fun careers.

Answer
Hi, I happen to have experience in both issues #1 and 2 you have. I get wanderlust after about 2 years and need to travel. I am also my own boss with my own business. So, you do have two choices. You can make your own business from scratch, living off practically nothing for a year until your business becomes profitable - IF it ever does. What you put into your own business is directly proportional to what you get back for that first year. Gotta do a lot of advertising.
That's what I did for 5 years. Maintained a reasonably head-barely-above-water business for 5 years. But damn that wanderlust was killing me and the economy turned so I couldn't travel like I did in year 3 of my business.
So, I went to craigslist and saw this ad called "teach in china". I thought it to be a scam, turns out it wasn't. I looked up my info, found other countries pay people to teach English to young students. You basically get to play all day long with elementary school students or have fun with middle school students (Depends on the job. Most times, you'll get a mix of both. Rarely, high school is available but really, don't count on that or teaching adults.) You can find jobs teaching at schools (30 students or sometimes more) or after school acadamies which have 8-12 students per class.

So, I packed up my apartment, sold my car, and got my butt to Korea, where I'm teaching middle schoolers. I LOVE it and it pays decently enough that you can save up money and every 6 months, go travel somewhere for a week or two. And you can travel at your leisure on the weekends. Other countries are similar - paying less or more and benefits are always different too (example: some provide apartments, some don't but help you find one and the apartments are cheap as hell in that case usually, almost all give health benefits, etc).
After one year's contract is done, you can simply pack up, go to a whole different area, city, or country, and start a new contract and travel your butt off. You DO have a boss, many whom leave you alone cause they can't speak English. It is common to have a co-teacher who speaks at least basic English, they will help you get set up and all that.

Okay, sounds too good to be true, right? Yeah, thought so too. There are a FEW requirements to get jobs most places, but some don't even need those. So, here's the basics.
-You have to have a bachelor's degree for 95% of the jobs listed on the below website. It doesn't matter what degree you have. It could be in basket weaving or pottery. They don't care.
-It is HIGHLY recommended you earn a 100-120 hour TEFL certificate. They are cheap, generally under $300 for an online one. If you're in a larger city, see if your local community college offers a course - those are considered better than online ones and for some jobs, offer better jobs and benefits for one that has "20+ practicum hours" of teaching. But a 100-ish hour one will give you access to a good 95% of jobs that ask for a tefl.
-If you don't have a bachelor's degree (Or only a partial one, associates or otherwise) there are quite a few programs, or jobs in general, that only ask for a TEFL along with whatever college experience you might have. I'd estimate that about 15% of all jobs are like this, and only in certain countries at that. China being one, perhaps Vietnam or similar too. There are a few that don't require college at all, but only about 5%.
- My advice: Make sure what is most important to you is what country you go to. Money the BIGGEST issue you must solve? China, Korea, Taiwan, or UAE. Wanna live somewhere with no snow and lots of paradise-looking land? Thailand/ Taiwan/ Lower China. Meeting different people and learning about cultures? Job hop every year to every country.

You can find jobs and info and FAQ at the below website. Hopefully this helps you a lot. Teaching English is a good sense of purpose as you are teaching students a language that they absolutely need for their future. I love my job btw and intend to do it as a career in many countries :)

When will the flying car come into production?

flying car news video on flying car, Andrew Solesbury, Futuristic Vehicle
flying car news video image

Question M

I've seen on the tech news lately that a flying car will be in production next year or 2014. I'm not so sure if that's true or not or if it will be real. What do you say?

Answer
watch the youtube video below. It basically discusses the many shortcomings of the technology available today in creating the flying car.

Would lowering speed reduce the price of gas and be an attack on terrorist and others making big money on oil?

Pey

In 1965 a display at the US Army Transportation School featured a new vehicle for all government agencies. This vehicle used water as a fuel. Over 1000 vehicles that use water as a fuel are on order today for the Army. A Fox News video clips below relates how a Ford Escort required 4 ounces of water for a 100 mile trip. It will take several years to get these vehicle on the market, but in the mean time we can save 15.6 % on fuel use by driving and flying just 20% slower. That will also save at least that percentage of lives on the highway and help stop the "war." http://hytechapps.com/company/press

The next link mentions the first patent for using water as a fuel dated 1935.

http://www.lilybrookherefords.com/stef/waterasfuel.htm

http://www.rexresearch.com/hyfuel/garrett/garrett.htm#_top

The link above confirms the 1935 patent for using water as a fuel. While not a success at the time, this early vehicle may have been near the start of this technology.

Answer
It's not really feasible unless we get other sources of energy as well (solar, nuclear, wind, geothermal, tidal, etc.). If you study chemistry and look more closely at your links and the process, you will see that cars don't run off of straight water. You can't just pour tap water into your gas tank and it'll run off the water.

Instead, the water has to under electrolysis first to get the hydrogen out and then the car runs off of hydrogen. The slight "problem" is that if you look at the chemical reactions, electrolysis is a very expensive process that takes quite a bit of energy. Where are you going to get that energy? You need other sources of energy if you need that fuel as mentioned above.

Reducing the speed limit to 55 mph like we did before would save some fuel, but knowing human nature, everyone is going to complain and people are going to drive at whatever speed they want anyway. I wouldn't mind because I don't need to drive since I take public transportation, but I'm sure plenty of motorists enjoy the feel of going really fast with their cars even though it wastes a bit of gas. That's just how the world is these days.

5/27/12 The Blaze: Pop music icon Lady Gagaâs upcoming show in Indonesia has officially been scrapped due to security concerns after radical Islamists vowed violence if she entered the planetâs most populous Muslim nation.

Muslim extremists blow up buildings, churches and planes. They cut off heads, use children as suicide bombers and rape women who donât dress the way they want. They threaten anyone who disagrees with them. And they are increasingly revealing themselves as the ones in control of Islam:

Google search âcivil wars in the worldâ then research each individual civil war and you will find one common combatant in 90% of them: Muslim extremists. Muslim extremists are involved in civil wars in China, Russia, Bosnia, Cyprus, Macedonia, Israel, Pakistan, Bosnia, India, Indonesia-Ambon & Halmarhera, Côte dâIvoire, Kashmir, Kosovo, Kurdistan, Kirghizia, Nigeria, Philippines, Somalia, Turkey, Chechnya, Sudan, Yemen, Thailand, Uganda, Mali, Azerbaijan and East Timor.

-1/3/12 Reuters, China: â[Muslim] Uighurs in Xinjiang rioted against Han Chinese residents in 2009 and at least 197 people were killed, according to official estimates.â Muslims want their own independent nation.
-4/1/12 AP, Hat Yai, Thailand: Bombs in southern Thailand kill 14, injure 340. Suspected Muslim insurgents staged the most deadly coordinated attacks in years in Thailandâs restive south, killing 14 people and injuring 340 with car bombs that targeted Saturday shoppers and a high-rise hotel frequented by foreign tourists.

what is the tax and MOT procedure for a British passport holder to a German vehicle in Germany?

car mot info image

I want to buy a campervan in Germany. I would like to know the specifics involved for a British purchaser regarding obtaining (and maintaining) their equivalent of road tax and MOT. If anyone can advise on a good insurance company, then that info would be appreciated too. The vehicle would leave Germany immediately upon purchase, but will never enter the UK. Many thanks.

Answer
> The vehicle would leave Germany immediately upon purchase, but will never enter the UK.

The vehicle can only be taxed and registered in Germany if you are a resident in Germany and you are registered in a German town/municipality. If this should be the case you will need to first get a car insurance and provide a statement of insurance for the vehicle registration. You also will need to provide your personal registration certificate (Anmeldebescheinigung) of your place of residence, so that a tax invoice can be sent to you, and your UK passport. In general the company where you buy the vehicle will do the registration process for you if you provide your documents and a power of attorney.
https://www.allianz.de/produkte/kraftfahrzeuge/index.html ..
http://www.huk.de/ ..

Should you reside in a different country and you want to buy a vehicle in Germany for the purpose of exporting it you will need to get so called tax plates or short-term plates. Those plates show the place of registration, a registration number, and the expiry date of the plate, on which the vehicle must have left Germany. You again would need to get a German vehicle insurance certificate, and would need to pay tax for the validity period (up to three months) of the plates at the time of the registration.
http://kurzzeitversicherung.org/img/ausfuhrkennzeichen.gif .. [expiry date 11 August 2010]

The vehicle must be registered at the vehicle registration office (Kfz-Zulassungsstelle) which covers your place of residence in Germany. These are in general located in all bigger cities that have there own licence-plate letters or at the county/district administration office (Kreisverwaltung, Landratsamt) for smaller municipalities.

How can i Find where my MOT was carried out if iv lost my certificate?

richard s

I have lost my mot certificate and need to get a replacement one, as i bought the car recently i dont know where it was tested, i have the VTS number but is there anyway of tracking down the phone number of the testing station from this number?

Answer
A replacement can be obtained from any MOT garage so long as you can produce the V5C logbook or VOSA can supply one for you (please don't call DVLA for MOT info as they have absolutely nothing to do with MOT's and you'll simply waste the price of a phone call).

Why do natural disasters in the US bring out the worst in non-Americans?

Poison Ivy

I can't believe some of the truly cruel remarks I'm reading on some foreign news sites regarding Hurricane Irene and the death/destruction it caused in the US.

Some people (mostly Brits, French, Australians, etc) actually believe the US should have been able to come through this with absolutely no damage/deaths.

Do these people actually live on Earth?? Have they ever been in a hurricane?

Answer
Did you see some of the Brits on BBC complaining about how "their holiday was ruined" and how "they've seen worse storms in Scotland"? I got a huge kick out of that. I live in England for school and I can tell you the worse I've ever seen there is a rainstorm. No, not a thunderstorm or flooding, a rainstorm. Not even any lightning.

Basically, they have no clue. Ignorance is bliss, huh? Must feel really good to care more about your stupid holiday than those who have lost their homes, cars, and lives.

How do you personally feel about leaving a baby in the car to grab coffee?

car news online on Wiggles Big Red Car fetches $35,700 at auction | Gladstone Observer
car news online image

Brielle

My friend runs into Starbucks almost every morning and leaves her 9 month old sleeping in the car. She has a keyless entry and always locks it and keeps it parked in the front where there are windows. I personally bring my kids in no matter how hard it is. What are your thoughts on this topic?

Answer
Makes me mad.

I understand believe me I do. You do not want to wake a sleeping baby. I've had friends who once sat in their driveway letting their baby sleep. lol

I've never done this. But one of my sister in laws did. Guess what? Someone called the police. Social services was called too. She was running in for cigarettes & her son was a toddler.

I don't like the idea of kids being left in cars either. A friend of mine online did this about 12yrs ago or so. One of her little ones got out of his toddler seat some how put the car in drive. It was left on so the heat would keep the van warm. The van rolled right into the side of a glass bank window. She made the nightly news. I even remember her sending me a link to read it online. She said her oldest who was I think 7 was watching her younger kids but personally I still felt it was very careless and dumb of her to do that.

There is never an excuse to leave young kids alone in the car. Same goes with the elderly. A friend of mine contacted police one day when she saw an old man sitting in a car alone with the windows up. It was midsummer here in GA & very hot. She actually stood outside waiting for the police to arrive and distracted the driver too when he came out of the store. The police gave a warning and that was it.

What is the best way to tint my car windows?

sensible_s

I would like to know how to tint my car so it doesn't look like crap and close to a professional or at least not a mess.

Answer
The typical way of doing it is to put your car in a dust free area, like a garage, and then clean your windows really well, inside and out. You will need a rubber squeegee , a spray bottle of water with a couple of drops of Pomalive dish washing soap, and a sharp exacto knife, and maybe some small hard rubber squeegee peaces to use in hard to get to spots. Spray down the outside of your newly cleaned window with the soapy water, and lay the window film onto it covering it all up and making sure that the glue side if facing you (do not remove the backing at this point). Cut the film to shape and then spray the inside of that very same window with the soapy water. Peel the backing off the tint and stick it to the inside of the window and slowly and firmly squeegee all the water out, sticking it to the window being careful not to make creases and bubbles. You will probably have to use your exacto knife to trim a little more around the edges. You cannot roll down the windows for about three days, so I hope you have working A/C in the car. This is to let the adhesive dry. Installing tint onto a car is a difficult job and takes practice. Good news though is I am finding vendors online and on Ebay that have the tint already pre-cut for your model car , and that will save you allot of time and problems. However, even with pre-cut it is still an art to install it perfect and if you have never done it before you are likely to mess up the first time. If you don't care about it being perfect or you got an old car or whatever, go for it, but if its a new car or its a situation where it has to be perfect, then save yourself allot of grief and goto a professional. The $100 you spend on the labor is more than worth it.

Is it safe to believe the information given to us by the news??

Andrea

The news feeds us tons of information every day, from what is good / bad for you to details about events in other countries. I think a lot of people believe that news stations are credible, and willingly believe anything that is told to them. How should we perceive this information to be able to decide what is true / lies? Is it safe to trust news broadcasts?

Answer
No! try democracynow.org! Many are brainwashed daily into believing that corporate and gov't press releases are real news which they are not! The mainstream media has no incentive to find or report the truth anymore. They are their to keep the consumers churning while the rich fat ones get fatter on the profits generated by an economic system that operates with no ethics. We only notice the deficiency when the skimmers take too much profit from the middle class and the system breaks down. (eg bankers, oilcos, and car makers.)

Get ready to pay for The failures of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. 5-10 Trillion dollars is how many wars? Wake up and wake others up. Have you noticed that no news org wants to have real investigative journalists on board. That's why the latter turn to the internet and blogging and writing books that they sell through the book funders!--the publishing houses!

My mom has to get a new car, but it is a little unexpected.
She won't drive a chevy, dodge, or ford.
She doesn't want a truck.
She would like the vehicle to be about $20,000 or less, but it is okay to go a little over.
The year doesn't matter.
New or used doesn't matter.
She wants it to get about 30 mph highway.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance! (:

Answer
A LITLE more info would help, such as big, small, four door or two.
20K can buy a lot of things. If she wants to go for something larger, I would check out Kia Optima, or Hyundai Sonata. Consumer reports rates both very highly. They share engines and I believe transmissions, both get class-leading mileage; I prefer the Optima because I think it looks like a Jag.
You can't go wrong with a Camry or an Accord, but they are a tad boring, and may be closer to 25K now.
If she wants a 4 door that's a little smaller, but still somewhat sporty, the Suzuki Kizashi is getting very good reviews and is supposed to be a lot of fun to drive. The 2 door vernon is the Koupe, also a decent car.
If she wants to go small with 4 doors, Hyndai Elentra, Civic, Corolla, Mazda 3 and Subaru Impreza are all reliable, and get decent mileage. If she lie the Impreza (which has all wheel drive, great for snow), or the Mazda 3, then make sure it's a 2012, as they just changed the engines and transmissions, greatly increasing the mileage.
IF she wants sporty, go used; an Accord coupe with a 6 cylinder is a nice option, 2006-2007 models get about 29 all the time, 33 on the highway. The newer ones have larger engines, and don't' get as good mileage. Unless you get a 4 cylinder, not as much fun, though.
I hope that helps.

What can I look forward to buying a 2012 V6 Ford Mustang?

Kid Viciou

Come December I will be purchasing a 2012 (preferably) but maybe a 2011 Ford Mustang V6. I'm switching to the Mustang from a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL. I'm only 19 but I believe I'm a good enough driver to control the new found power of the new V6 Mustang's, ha. Even though I know the GT's and the Cobra's have way more power, but I can't afford the gas and insurance. But I just want to know how the new V6 Mustang's drive and should I get a manual or an automatic? Things like that.

Answer
They drive and handle very nicely. I am an autocrosser and road racer. My 2011 V6 Mustang was the first Muscle car I have tracked. I was very impressed with the Performance package handling. I have however upgraded the brakes and suspension for even greater handling.

With the full Kenny Brown AGS 4.0 package I can keep up with Porsches costing 3 times as much. I would get a manual unless you are going to do a lot of stop and go driving. If you crave more power later then a ProCharger supercharger kit is available adding another 200 HP. Its a great kit.

If you can afford it then get the '12 because I think the HID lights were standard.

Check out the site below for all the 3.7L V6 Mustang info you could ever want.

Why were progressives offended by the NRA pointing out facts but ok with Obama using kids to end the 2nd?

When I was a kid I thought I could time travel in time in my parents car after I saw Back to the Future. Obama uses these kids who were scared by the news media fear mongering to take our rights and that's ok, but point out that Obama doesn't believe in gun free zones when it comes to his safety and its all of a sudden its a big offense.

Answer
Progressives take Obama's side in arguments and the NRA opposes the ban on guns because they feel it is a violation of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. The NRA will be an opposing force to
congress for any laws that diminish peoples rights to own firearms. There are also many members in congress that are avid gun owners, many of which are not progressives.

how would you go about seeing if the news media would do a story about the chicago police and it ticket writin?

lil snake

how would you go about seeing if the news media would do a story about the chicago police department issuing out tickets to civilians of this city that they wont issue to other police officers, example tinted windows with the legal tint color but if you go to the parking lots of the stations where they park the there own private cars youll see cars with limo tint and license plate covers on the plates, as well as decals in the windows that i was told were illegal .So the way i see it is the law only applies to us and not them ,so if we as chicagions have to follow the driving laws and auto laws so should they.

Answer
You want to sign an online petition so all officer can remove their tints? It won't work, leave it alone. Idk the rule in Chicago, but what if they made no tint, no even factory tint legal? Then we'd all be complaining more!

I am not even a police officer, but I believe that they have the rights, exemptions and privileges to have limo tint and decal on the front of their private vehicle.

Remember driving is a privilege, not a right, so if you can't comply by the laws and rules, and you'r not exempted, you should not even be driving. These tint laws were implemented for a purpose you know; safety of officers & safety while driving. The posted speed limit is 35 mph, a police car has the right to drive at 50 mph at a safe manner if they wish, they can be heading to an emergency or trailing another car.

I am just like you, want to tint my car to look all cool and stuff but I understand the safety and laws and dont't see any purpose in questioning why cops can tint their private cars. I am photo phobic, so I have 15% on my rear windows and rear windshield, and they issued me 60% on my front glasses and windshield, they work fine but I can be a dick and complain about it and say I need limo tints when th 60% honestly works fine from keepin the glare out.

Thanks!!!!

Answer
Mitchell's Mausers = avoid. It's like going to a used car dealership that sells cars that look like new for dirt cheap. If it looks too good to be true, it is...it's a fraud.

As for the others:

1st one - Russian capture, so the markings may have been changed. Kind of kills the history of the gun.
2nd one - Nice one, but no matching #s. Probably a good shooter.
3rd one - Matching numbers, but a capture.
4th one - Not matching numbers, but probably also a good shooter.

The 4th one shows no signs of pitting on the receiver (compared to the second), so that would be my choice of the four. And if you're going to get a 98k, you might as well get one that has the original markings intact. I know you're not looking for a collector gun, but if you want a Mauser strictly to shoot and nothing else, save yourself some money and get a Yugo Mauser 24/47 for cheaper than a 98k can be purchased for...

Answer
how about the discussion at the web page (below) Having Fun during the Depression
Although the 1930s was a time of great hardship, people still found ways to have fun. For many during these years, having fun didn't have to cost much. Everything was homemade â the food, the games, the music â there were even homemade portable dance floors. But traditional organized activities â like rodeo and football â were popular as well.

Neighbors got together to play cards and other games and to talk. Church socials and school programs gave people a chance to visit and maybe meet someone new. Soda fountains and local dances gave young people a chance to enjoy themselves and to go on dates.

Popular culture was alive and well at the movies and in music and dancing. Children read about Superman in Action Comics and followed the adventures of Flash Gordon, Dick Tracy, and Terry and the Pirates in newspaper comic strips. Adults loved to read about the exciting lives of rich people in big cities. Newspapers ran stories and pictures about high society events

stories and pictures about high society events.

Mildred Opitz describes what "fun" meant to her as a newlywed in the 1930s, how neighbors gathered and shared their musical talents, and how people found ways to have fun for free. Alvin Apetz says they never felt poor because "you made your own entertainment." Entertainment was one way to leave behind worries about crops, weather and money.

The radio connected country people and gave them an ear to the world. People liked listening to sports and news, as well as jazz and swing music. Singing telegrams were popular.

During the 1930s, football was almost as popular with Nebraskans as it is today. High school teams were sources of pride for entire communities and the University of Nebraska team was becoming a national force. D.X. Bible had been hired as the University of Nebraska football coach a few months before the October, 1929, Stock Market crash. Under coach Bible, the team won the Big-6 conference championship six years in a row. Many Nebraska players were tough young men who had grown up on dirt-poor farms and small towns.

In the late 30s, the Federal Writers Project captured the spirit of Nebraska football.

"Football in Nebraska is more than a diversion for college students. A State university game is an event talked about and eagerly followed by rural and urban fans. If the day of a football game is not too cold or rainy, the streets of Lincoln are sure to be jammed with people and cars, brightened with pennants and chrysanthemums. The highways are crowded for miles around. Broadcasts of games are picked up in almost every store and gas station from Omaha to the western border; farmers sometimes neglect their cornhusking in the afternoon to hear the game over the radio." -- Federal Writers Project (FWP) Guide

In 1936 Coach Bible moved to Texas and was replaced by "Biff" Jones, a U.S. Army major. In his first season, Biff's team was ranked 9th in the new Associated Press football poll (1936), and they continued to do well. On December 1940, the Cornhuskers were invited to play in the Rose Bowl against second-ranked Stanford University. The team played in front of 92,000 screaming fans, the largest crowd ever to see a live Nebraska game. In a hard-fought game that included a fractured shin bone and two players knocked unconscious, Stanford won 13-7. The Stanford coach praised Nebraska's team as "the toughest we met this year." After only five years as head coach, Biff Jones was called back to West Point at the beginning of World War II.

Rodeos were another organized entertainment activity that remained vital through the Depression. Rodeos showed off some of the skills of cowboys who lived on the ranches in rural Nebraska. Interest in rodeo competitions began early in the settlement period and remained widespread across the Great Plains and West. One of the most popular rodeos was and still is hosted by the small town of Burwell, Nebraska. Again, the Federal Writers Project captured the spirit of rodeo in the 1930s.

"Rodeos held in various parts of the State when local finances allow (as in North Platte or Burwell) still attract good crowds. Purses, if high enough, draw excellent riders from all over the West. When Indians furnish part of the entertainment â generally with dances and ceremonials â the smell of dried meat hung out on lines in their camp is pungent and unforgettable." â FWP Guide.

Clinton apologizes for allowing Al Qaeda to gather strength during his administrationâ¦well he should!
So then Bill Clinton a man who was busy seducing a fat intern while Al Qaeda launched itâs war on the United States has the sheer audacity to claim that President Bush has forgotten about Bin Gone. Oops I forget its an article of faith with the cowardly left that Bin Laden is, one still alive, two relevant even if he isnât a collection of dust finding its way to hell. Watch and learn kiddies if you want to be a world class liar then you must make up the most outrageous sorts of lies. And Bill âthe meaning of isâ Clintonâs only legacy to the country is his legendary ability to tell people what they want to hear no matter how far away from the truth he must stray.

Bill Clinton accused President George W. Bush on Friday of having âforgotten about our hunt for bin Laden,â and told Newsday the presidentâs Iraq policy had spawned swarms of new terror recruits. Speaking during his first New Hampshire appearance with his wife, Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former president agreed with a recent intelligence report indicating the al-Qaida terror organization has regrouped to pre-Sept. 11 levels. Bill Clinton slams Bushâs Iraq plan â Newsday.com

So then letâs review what was going on during the time that Bill Clinton was finding the right size cigar for his overweight internâs secret places. * February 26, 1993: Islamic terrorists try to bring down the World Trade Center with car bombs. They failed to destroy the buildings, but killed 6 and injured over 1000 people. (Editors Note: it did not fail by a large margin. Had it succeeded there would have been no warning and upwards of 100,000 people might have died. Also note that there were two main bomb builders, Ramsey Yousef and Abdul Rahman Yasin.
Ramsey went on to attempt to down 11 US Aircraft and Abdul Rahman Yasin after being interviewed by the FBI was released and immediately flew back to Iraq. Where ABC News interviewed him. All of his expenses were being paid by the Saddamâs Iraq. Course Cigar Boy wants us to believe that Saddam is irrelevant to terror)
1993 World Trade Tower Bombing
What is truly fascinating about this report is that there is NO mention of ABDUL RAHMAN YASIN the 2nd bomb maker that the FBI interviewed and then released. Wouldnât they want to let us know that he went back to Iraq?
* December 11, 1994: A bomb explodes on board Philippine Airlines Flight 434, killing a Japanese businessman. It develops that Ramzi Yousef planted the bomb to test it for the larger terrorist attack he is planning.
* December 24, 1994: In a preview of September 11, Air France Flight 8969 is hijacked by Islamic terrorists who planned to crash the plane in Paris.
* January 6, 1995: Operation Bojinka, an Islamist plot to bomb 11 U.S. airliners over the Pacific Ocean, is discovered on a laptop computer in a Manila, Philippines apartment by authorities after a fire occurred in the apartment. Noted terrorists including Ramzi Yousef and Khalid Shaikh Mohammed are involved in the plot.
* June 25, 1996: The Khobar Towers bombing, carried out by Hezbollah with Iranian support. Nineteen U.S. servicemen were killed and 372 wounded.
* November 17, 1997: Massacre in Luxor, Egypt, in which Islamist gunmen attack tourists, killing 62 people.
* August 7, 1998: Al Qaeda bombs U.S. embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya, killing 225 people and injuring more than 4,000.
* December 14, 1998: Ahmed Ressam is arrested on the United States?Canada border in Port Angeles, Washington; he confessed to planning to bomb the Los Angeles International Airport as part of the 2000 millennium attack plots.
* January 2000: The last of the 2000 millennium attack plots fails, as the boat meant to bomb USS The Sullivans sinks.
* October 12, 2000: AL Qaeda bombs USS Cole with explosive-laden speedboat, killing 17 US sailors and wounding 40, off the port coast of Aden, Yemen.

Maybe, just maybe a list like that might, just might, have given a less centered person a hint that as the leader of the free world something needed to be done. You know besides sending the keystone cops after Bin Laden and such. After all Bin Laden declared war on the US on Clintons watchâ¦and Clinton did nearly nothing about it.

Are there any planned design upgrades for the 2014 Dodge Charger?

Jeremy

My wife and I are looking at buying a new Dodge Charger towards the end of the year. Right now we are saving money(ish) and waiting for an 8-speed transmission and stop/start for the HEMI 5.7L
I had heard about those two features coming soon and during the North American auto show earlier this month Jeep unveiled a Grand Cherokee with those features. Yay!
What surprised me though was that they also did a exterior refresh on the body and interior. This even caught the auto press off guard because it was just updated in 2011, a little sooner than normal. Can I expect the same for the Charger? If your first thought is no, let me remind you that it too was redesigned in 2011. So far Dodge hasn't hinted one way or the other. Does anyone out there know?
If they are, we might as well wait so when we buy we have the most current design.

Answer
Do a search for spy shots 2014 charger.
They are adding a AWD Hemi to the police car line up. Maybe for civilians also.
But the news is pretty quiet on the subject.

Hi Gays and Lesbain friends, dou you know that gay sex is punishable by death...?

Q. In 7 countries, and another 70 it's still illegal and you might go to JAIL? Or be castrated or have to perform community service (thats picking up rubbish to the uneducated)

Answer
Yes,
and in some a women can be put to death if her husband says she had an affair.
Some places they kill women who are victims of rape.
In other lands the family decide who the children will marry, the children have no say in it.
I saw a video of a 6 year old boy who was caught stealing, his arm was held as a car drove over it.
There are also many examples of western people in third world countries trying to ease the suffering, but the local government feeling pressure say these people are spy's so have them killed.

I was mildly amused by a news report where all these Christian missionaries were shot dead.
The driver begged to be spared, he only escaped a bullet to the head because he told them he is a Muslim and then he was able to say several passages from the Koran.
It was this that amused me. If he was a true believer he would not have begged for his life as he would have had no fear of death. What he in fact did by begging and grasping at possible ways to save his life was he prove he is an infidel.

I say. The silly Muslims killed the wrong people. Despite the Christian missionaries not being Muslim, at least they believe in God.

So yes your right. The world is full of nutters.

What is the best way to negotiate when buying a used car from a dealership?

car news edmunds on 2013 New York Auto Show: 2014 Jeep Cherokee | Edmunds.com
car news edmunds image

~~Foshizzl

They are asking $6000. I have done the kelly blue book value which the suggested retail price is 6700. and the edmunds true market value is 4700. I want to negotiate the price but not sure how to go about it and what to say and what is fair......Any help would be great!!

Answer
yeah the second answer will get you ripped off in a heart beat, people who walk into a dealership like that either walk out without a car or get jacked because they want to be tough guy negotiator. claiming that you know they paid alot less, news flash sometimes they didnt pay alot less, sometimes they just want that junker that someone traded in and demanded way to much money for to go away.

$4,700 is probably pretty fair for the car, having no idea what kind of car it is I cannot tell you what kind of price they should have or what they should have paid for it.

Judging by an asking price of $6,000 they should have about $3,000 to $3,500 in it. average overhead per car is probably around 400-600, again having no idea what type of dealer i cant really know this but thats about average, they will also pay the salesman, probably about $100. so they will probably make between $400-$900 which is fine, most dealers hope to walk away with $1,500 on a used car.

So that being said without knowing what the car is I cant really tell what you should pay but it you get it for $4,700 you have probably done well, just remember not to buy any of the way overpriced accesories and junk from the finance manager. and the dealer should not have a fee that isnt from the DMV or state that costs you more than $100.

What is a good website to look at older used car values?

Everest

Trying to look at what my old cars are worth and cant find a good website for it. Some don't go back as old as I have and some want you to give information so dealers can contact you.

Answer
I use three sites pretty regularly and go back and forth cross checking to see whats up. You can try auto trader.com for 90s and newer, or autotrader classics.com for older cars, NADA www.nada.com has new, new used, classics, boats, motor homes tranvel trailers, motorcycles, there is a free consumer section that covers the bases well. Another place on the web is hemmings motor news. www.hemmings.com is an old time online car magazine with deep world wide roots to the car lovers world, there are thousands of links to almost anything car related. there is a want ad section , last months ads are free online, if you wish to view current ads, then you need to pay for the online subscription, or buy the hard copy and have it mailed to your home address. last but not least Edmunds.com is more geared towards new, or almost new cars, but there is a lot of information available. and if you are interested in learning how to go look for and how to inspect used cars, www.samarins.com is packed full of information on how to buy a used car, what to look for, repair histories on used cars and plenty of other links.
