Someone was telling me about a new car that costs around $2900?

Sushilove

i guess it was on the news lately, whats it called

Answer
$2500.

TATA Nano.

Tata is an Indian car company. This car is only sold in India. It will nver be legal for America since it is glued together instead of welded so it is not safe.

TATA is the company that bought LandRover and Jaguar from Ford almost 2 years ago.

Is there a technology to run automobiles (cars, trucks etc) on Compressed Air?

Police Off

Answer
" BBC News is reporting that a French company has developed a pollution-free car which runs on compressed air. India's Tata Motors has the car under production and it may be on sale in Europe and India by the end of the year.

The air car, also known as the Mini-CAT or City Cat, can be refueled in minutes from an air compressor at specially equipped gas stations and can go 200 km on a 1.5 euro fill-up -- roughly 125 miles for $3. The top speed will be almost 70 mph and the cost of the vehicle as low as $7000.

The car features a fibreglass body and a revolutionary electrical system and is completely computer-controlled. It is powered by the expansion of compressed air, using no combustion at all, and the exhaust is entirely clean and cool enough for use in the internal air conditioning system. "

Car insurance?????????????????

Dolly

I am buying a new car but haven't sold mine yet, I still want insurance on my old one incase I have to drive it.. How do you go about it? Does it cost much??

Answer
If you want to keep two cars and have insurance on both, get insurance on your new car from the same company and tell them that your old car will be for occasional driving only. This will lower the cost of insurance on it. You should also get another discount because you have two cars insured by the same company.
Ask the insurance company all the questions. You'll get better info than here.

car accident question... please help? insurance info if available?

MommyofTWO

ok, my husband, son and i were going to walmart 4/26/08 when a guy ran a stop sign and we hit him... our car wasnt damaged but the guy that ran the stop sign's was. He didnt want to turn it in or anything so since ours wasnt harmed and it was no big deal we let it go(thinking we were doing a favor). Well, not sure how but he found out my husbands name and is now calling him wanting to turn it in- apparently the price to fix the car is higher than he wants to pay. He's acting like he can get us in trouble or something. Is this true? if so we didnt think it was a big deal at the time due to no harm to our property... what advice can someone give me? please anything helpful is appreciated. Is it possible to backdate something because i wouldnt care to do so if possible... it's not going to effect our insurance since it wasn't our fault so i wouldnt mind... but... is this possible? Btw, the state is WV and I have insurance with Safeco.
plus-no info was exchanged except apparently names
yeah, it's a weird intersection that looks like a 4-way stop but one lane DOESN't have to stop.. (we were in that lane) he just kinda came out into our lane-not sure if he ran the stop sign or not but still the point is that we had the right of way... just to clarify what happened... ifigure you guys are right about the whole no insurance thing and thats why he didnt want to. This was my first accident so I have already learned..report everything-lol. Luckily I took your guys advice and called my insurance and they are taking care of it. The damage speaks for itself and so does the location it happened. They are sending someone to look at the location and we have to take the car to someone to get it inspected.

Answer
The other car ran a stop sign and wants you to pay for it? Granted there is more to the story that what you said in that one line.....but if the other guy is the cause of the accident - your company will not pay him.

Call the guy - get his name, address, phone number, year/make/model of is car, what part damage. Tell him you are going to report it to your insurance company and will have them call him.

Then call your company and report the claim to the. Give them all the information on the guy so they can contact him.

If you want to -- call the guy and then give him the name, phone number and claim number.

Now--- you never have to speak to him again. You do not have to discuss anything with him.

If he calls you after that--- you tell him to call the adjuster.

The insurance company will do an investigation. That includes getting your statement and the statement of the other driver. They will also photograph both vehicles and possibly do a scene investigation.

If the accident is your fault- they will pay the guy. It will protect you from a law suit.

If the accident is not your fault - they will deny his claim. If he files a lawsuit - they will hire a lawyer to defend you.

This is what insurance is for. Let your company deal with it. Just be sure to let the adjuster know any concerns you have and cooperate in the investigation of the claim.

will the USA get the $1000 car like the one in india?

slackmonke

Cars are way to exspensive, so over priced it is time we get cheaper cars.
will we get this cheap $1000 car like the one in india ? or will we have a car for around the same price here in the USA any time soon?
I am taling about new cars, i dont care about your used pinto on craigslist.

Answer
You misread or misinterpreted the information on the car. It doesn't SELL for $1,000. The car isn't even made yet, perhaps you'll start seeing them in July if all goes well, and Tata motors is predicted to ask $1000-1400 as booking deposit for the car.

The model is the Nano. "Per the latest news about it: More than 203,000 people have bought the ultra cheap Nano car in India, yielding sales of 25 billion rupees ($512.6 million), Tata Motors said Monday. The sales are significant in a country where just 1.5 million passenger cars were sold last fiscal year.

Due to production constraints, the Nano was for sale only from April 9 to April 25.

The Nano was meant to herald a revolution in transport for the poor

Tata, however, said only 20 percent of customers opted for the cheapest version of the car, which retails for 100,000 rupees ($2,050)."
-----------------------
It will not be available in the USA since it would not come close to meeting federal standards for safety, even at the most expensive model offered, which would run closer to $3K.

You mentioned the Ford Pinto, which compared to the Nano looks darn good.

Volkswagen Jetta or Honda Civic?

Chase

Hello, as the question states I am looking to get a Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L 5 cylinder (2009-2010) or a Honda Civic (2010-2011). I test drove a Jetta and absolutely loved it, it is a very solid feeling car. I saw that the Jetta is also much safer than the civic of those years. I know Honda has a huge reputation for reliability (My mom has a Pilot) and I know Volkswagen's reliability is a rollercoaster. I am just wanting opinions on which car would be best for me. I currently am in college and working, with a commute of about 40 miles a day. I currently do all of my maintenance on my car at home like oil changes, tire rotations, coolant flushes, timing belt, etc. (My stepdad is very good with cars and we have a lift at home). Would the Volkswagen be as reliable as the Honda if I kept up on maintenance? How hard are they to work on? How expensive are the parts? Is the upkeep a lot more tedious than the Honda's? What are the main service intervals and what needs done at those intervals for the Volkswagen? Thanks for all the answers, I really appreciate it!

Answer
What is it?
Latest Jetta gets all the updates that have been rolled out across the VW stable recently, but it's still essentially the same car underneath. The engine choice is good as is the ride and interior quality, but puh-lease, there has to be a more interesting choice.

Driving
The Jetta feels well engineered and always on your side. You always get lots of warning of what's happening, and it's almost always benign. It's not all that light on its feet though.

Any of the 1.4 TSI engines over-delivers - it comes as a 122, 140 and 170 output, but also has generous torque at usefully low revs, so forget about the small capacity. The 1.6 base engine is a bit raucous, and underwhelming. The 2.0 high-power diesel is the noisy TDI design - wait for the smoother common-rail version that's being rolled out across the VW Group.

On the inside
Great seats, a supple ride and fine refinement mark out the Jetta as a car that cossets you like something from the next class up. It's a good place to be.

Saying that, the Golf family, of which this is a member, isn't the leader it once was in perceived quality, and there are some uninspiring slabs of hard plastic around the cabin. But the firm furniture and vault-like doors reassure you that it's made of good stuff.

While the Jetta doesn't have the versatility of a hatch, it does have a colossal boot. And the rear seat backs do flop forwards to extend the bay a bit.

Owning
Treat it gently and you can get the Jetta's service intervals up to 20,000 miles. The TSi and TDI engines are pretty careful with fuel, and insurance isn't bad - the 200bhp version is group 15 while a Golf GTI is 17. Because, presumably, no-one wants to steal a Jetta or drive it fast.

THE HONDA!

What is it?
The latest Honda Civic will be familiar to fans of the old one, as Honda takes a leaf out of Volkswagenâs design handbook and goes for evolution rather than revolution. Because of this, the five-door only Civic remains an unusual looker, with the pyramidal outline spiced up this time round by a set of flowing wave-like creases along the sides. Thereâs no missing the beak-like black grille surround either. Oh, and it finally gets a rear wiper too.

Big news for 2013 is the launch of the long-awaited 1.6 diesel. Hondaâs been missing such an engine for too long, and its arrival is expected to lead a big sales lift.

Driving
Honda has listened to all the criticism of the old Civic and fed this into the latest one. It is thus a lot more refined and smoother-riding, with expensive details like fluid-filled suspension bushes all helping iron out the bangs and crashes felt before. The tyre roar of the old one has been quelled too.

Pity Honda has dialled back some of the driving enthusiasm of the old Civic, the root cause of which is new fuel-saving electric power steering. Itâs a pretty groggy system, proving gluey and short of feel. This means a lot of the sharp, connected cornering you got with the old Civic has melted away. Itâs an unquestionably better car to drive, but if you like to break free for a bit of fun, you might not like the upgrade. 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre petrol engines are available, but most will prefer the diesels. The familiar 2.2-litre motor remains impressive but better still is the new 1.6-litre âEarth Dreamsâ unit. An eye-opening blend of power, economy and emissions is backed up with impressive refinement and well-rounded manners. Its new six-speed gearbox is great, too.

On the inside
Interior quality has taken a much-needed step up. There are now more soft-touch plastics and premium-finish surfaces. The trouble for Honda is that the Civicâs rivals have improved too: assembly standards are immaculate but it lacks the last edge of tactility that helps win over showroom-browsers. Honda hopes the futuristic styling will do this instead â as before, itâs all bold shapes and colourful displays in the new Civic, but with a welcome improvement in ergonomics and intuitiveness.

Owning
Honda has dramatically improved the fuel efficiency of the new Civic, particularly the 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel. Despite its ample capacity, idle-stop and aero gains (keen spotters will note the stick-on âearsâ on the rear panels) mean this averages 67.3mpg and emits just 110g/km CO2. The new 1.6-litre diesel is even better, emitting 94g and averaging 78.5mpg.

Where can I find news articles about car crashes?

Sarah

I'm doing a project for my drivers ed class and I need to find 7 news articles about car crashes that have happened since September 2010. I've checked the newspaper, washingtonpost.com, cnn.com, abc7.com and can't find any articles. I must be looking in the wrong spot. Thanks for all the answers in advance...

Answer
a small-town newspaper is more likely to cover car accidents than a big media outlet. also, try typing "crash" into news.google.com.

Car crash statistics?

I an doing an essay about cars and need references can anyone tell me good websites to check out like news websites?

Answer
Lots and lots of accident info from the Census Bureau:
http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/cats/transportation/motor_vehicle_accidents_and_fatalities.html

Tons of info from the NHTSA (click links at the top for driving safety, vehicle safety, research and data): http://www.nhtsa.gov/

Perform your own statistical analysis at the NHTSA "Fatality Analysis Reporting System:"
http://www-fars.nhtsa.dot.gov/Main

The IIHS has lots of info:http://www.iihs.org/

For example, why texting bans aren't working: http://www.iihs.org/news/rss/pr092810.html

And teenagers suck at driving (old people are actually safer):
http://www.iihs.org/research/fatality_facts_2008/teenagers.html

Of course, if you're going to talk about safety, you need to include distracted driving and why cell phones (hands-free OR hand-held) aren't safe to use:
http://www.distraction.gov/stats-and-facts/index.html
http://statehighwaysafety.org/html/publications/pdf/sfdist11.pdf
http://www.distraction.gov/research/PDF-Files/Passenger-Cellphone-Conversations.pdf
http://www.fnal.gov/pub/traffic_safety/files/NSC%20White%20Paper%20-%20Distracted%20Driving%203-10.pdf

That should give you something to do between now and lunch. If you need more, just let me know!

car inspections stafford county virginia?

i have a car that im tryin to buy its 1 grand its a 1991 honda accord and i need to know exactly what need to be done for it to pass inspection so if anyone has the actual code of regulatios like ride height emissions and all that i would greatly appreciate a site for it

Answer
Well older cars are having a hard time right now passing the emissions inspection. I'm not sure how they do it in older cars because 1996 and newer have the computer thing that automatically checks it. I think they check with some sort of chemical paper or something, the emissions have to be within a certain level. I strongly recommend not buying a pre 1996 car because you might only get to drive it a year or two before failing the inspection, that is if you don't fail it the first time. It's not worth paying to replace the exhaust or the catalyc converter just to pass the inspection. It's completely up to you. As for the official info, google virginia dmv and you will see the link. Hope this helps!!

classic car inspection?

dennis s

how often do i get it inspected

Answer
Hi Dennis,

The answer depends on your state division of motor vehicles and how they classify your car. In some states a classic car is a vehicle over 20 years old, in others it is a vehicle over 25 years old.

For example, my car is over 25 years old and is not required to be inspected according to the rules fo rmy state. However, it DOES have to have all of the safety components available as delivered from the factory intact and in working condition. My car came from the factory with lap and shoulder seat belts, so I am required to have those in working condition in my car. I am also exempt from annual emissions inspections.

Don't forget to check on the insurance regulations for your car as well. They can be different for classic cars depending on if they wear classic car tags or standard tags.

Here is a great website that is a jump site to all of the motor vehicle administrations in the US:

http://www.dmv.org

If you need info on tags and titling your classic car, this website will help you go to those pages for your state also.

Good luck! Enjoy your classic car.

DID yOu HEAR ABOUT the 6 wheeled car?

I heard about the 6 wheel cars years ago.
There are many 6 wheeled cars.
They are in India and other Asian countries.
They have 6 wheel sports cars and luxury cars.

This is the latest 6 wheel car that is coming out:

Why aren't Force India testing?

blip

I know they plan to release their car on the 1st of March (as far as i can remember) but I haven't seen any news of them testing at Jerez, Barhain or Portimao.

Answer
The car simply isn't ready. They lost a couple of months with their sudden defection from Ferrari to Mercedes engines (and they were going to launch the car late anyway), which means they may be present at one test session before going off to Melbourne - or they might not. I won't be surprised if they only run for a day or two at the last test session right before flying to Australia.

how to i tell who is the current title owner of a car?

Andrew N

i am looking at buying a car but i have suspicion as to if the guy who owns the title actually owns the title. I need to find where the last owner of the title lived and also who owned/owns it.

i need to figure out how to do this. Who do i have to call? Or can i do it online? Or do i call the registry?

i really dont know and any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Answer
The previous answerers DO NOT know what they are talking about. As a buyer you have every right to verify the current ownership of the car and if it has any liens. You need to ask the guy that is selling you the car for its vin number and ask him what state it's titled in. The dmv website for the state you are in has a title lookup feature for free. You put in the vin number, car make, model, and year. This will let you know if there is a loan on the car and when the title was issued. You verify this info with the one on the title the guy shows you. It won't state the name but by the issue date you can tell, if it's valid. If the car has a loan, it will have to be paid in order for you to legally own the car. If everything is in order have the guy sign the title over to you and register it with the dmv. Hope this helps!!

I sold my car and left the plates on it. The 1 who bought it ran a redlight & they mailed me a ticket. HELP!!?

Shawn

I filled out the affidavit of non-responsibility, but they just wrote me a letter stating that it was incomplete. They didn't say what information they lacked, but did say there will be a $25 late fee if I fail to provide this info by the due date. What can I do to avoid having to pay a traffic ticket when I never ran the red light? I gave the persons cell phone number, a print-off of the e-mail they sent me voicing that they wanted to buy my vehicle. I have 2 witnesses that saw him buy the car. Other than that, I'm pretty much out of info. I tried to do a reverse-lookup of his cell phone number to get his address, but could not. Please help, I've run out of options. Thanks for reading.
I had no idea how to sell a car is the problem. I had a car. I wanted to sell it. Someone had money. I took the money. It's simple I thought.

Answer
Take this as a lesson learned...NEVER make a sale to someone without having a receipt, their information, and without taking all your identity information out of the car!! If something was done right during your sale, the title of the car should be transferred to the new owners name, registered, something...but i guess not! Try to take this to court, and have the new driver of the car take responsibility! Do you know the Vin # of the car? This could help in tracking down the owner of the car at the present time, or try calling insurance company's with the cars information to find the new owner. Good Luck, you shouldn't have to pay for someone else's mistake, but it sorta is your fault for being careless and not taking off your license plate and handing them into the DMV.

Running a car with no catalytics...?

God of the

So my question is plain and simple: what would come of cutting the cats off a car to improve exhaust flow (along with new headers, H-pipe, cherry bomb mufflers, etc...)? I know this would take environmentally friendly to a whole new low, but what could happen to the engine? Thanks in advance!
What about on more modern cars? Wouldn't not having cats mess with the computer control system? The O2 sensors would be off the charts.

Answer
Depending on the year of your car, your check engine light will come on...if you don't fool it.

**additional info** The check engine light will come on with 1996 and newer vehicles (some before). There is a O2 sensor before and after the catalysts to measure the efficiency of the emissions device. If you remove it, it will think its not working properly and turn the light on.

car insurance $6000!?!?!?

I'm 18 years old, have a clean driving record, and i drive a 2007 honda civic coupe. My name is insured on my parents honda pilot and lexus 350(suv). For some reason my insurance (for myself only not including famly) is around 6000. is this right? i'm under AAA and they said its going to be this expensive with any insurance company. I have 2 way coverage and and $250 deductable. Can someone name some other company that charges significantly less with coverage and a deductable just as good. Links and sources would be appreciated also
san francisco, CA

Answer
I can give you some links for lower priced insurance but cut rate insurance companies have a reputation for doing poor repairs and giving you the level of coverage you paid for. You may want to consider staying on your parent insurance policy as they are getting discounts for multiple vehicles and most likely having their home owners insurance tied to the policy. On your own you are at the highest risk and being charged extra for not having previous insurance. You should show proof of previous insurance through your parents policy to your insurance to get the rates lowered some.

2011 3 door Yaris compare to the older models?

I recently receive a new 2011 Yaris a few days ago. I want to buy floor mats and a dash mat, but I don't want to pay top dollar for the new model car. So, my question is how much similar is the dash compare to the older models and does that apply to the floor mats?

Can I afford a 2011 Dodge Charger?

Q. Insurance cost? Maintenance cost? Gas?

A little more info:
+I make like $800 a month
+Home expenses (food, bills, no rent) less than $100
+I'm 20 yrs old
+Moved out of my parents house into one of dad's old houses and live with 2 other guys.
+The car has a salvage title and is gonna be paid full in cash; no payments.
$100 is really all i need, literally. Everyone in the house chips in and buys all the stuff the house needs. Also, I just bought a $645 flat screen tv off eBay and $30 worth of iTunes music because I always have so much money leftover.

I tried saving and was really thinking of investing but the money cant seem to stay in my bank account...

About the salvage car, I've made sure that the car has to start, have a certain amount of miles, and the type of accident it was in is very important. Additionally, my brother does body and mechanic work and wouldn't mind doing it for free. Unfortunately, I gotta do most of the easy relentless type work (sanding and all that good stuff) but who cares Im getting it free.

Answer
Dude, you cannot afford a 2011 anything!! A car that has a salvage title is a car that was totaled and was repaired. It is basically worthless and I encourage you to speak with any insurance professional as to insurance and risks associated with driving a car with salvage title. From what I know, this car is basically a throwaway car if it is involved in another crash. Then, all of your money is wasted. How come you make so little money in a month? Are you a student working part time? Your listing of expenses of less than $100 is not realistic. People eat that much in a week! Are you not buying food, cleaning supplies, laundry, kitchen, etc. as part of your share of the living expenses? Utility bills? Clothes? Entertainment? I suggest that you find an adult in your life that knows you and ask for financial counseling. Sorry. This car may look good but in my view you cannot afford this nor anything else except a scooter of sorts. Do the research and work out the numbers. Best wishes.

how can i retrieve info on a vehicle purchased through yahoo autos that has not been shipped?

Gary G

WBACC0322VEK20975= vin number make is bmw model 318 i year 97 contact is steve rainy

Answer
You should always take precautions when using Yahoo! Autos to buy or sell a car. There's always risk involved in transferring goods and payments between two parties. Here are a few safety tips to keep in mind as well as signs we have identified that commonly indicate that the listing might be fraudulent in nature. These tips are not designed to scare you, but to encourage you to be smart and use common sense.

Know Who You're Dealing With:
In Yahoo! Autos, transactions are between buyers and sellers, so it's important to know who you're dealing with. Deals should only go forward if buyers and sellers are both comfortable with each other and with the terms of the sale. We advise buyers against sending payments to sellers without meeting the seller or seeing the vehicle in person; we strongly encourage buyers to see the vehicle, meet the seller, and complete any transfer of any payment in person.

Most Common Signs of Fraudulent Practices:

The vehicle's price is too good to be true.
If a car for sale seems too good to be true, it probably is. Do some research. For example, look up the vehicle's Kelley Blue Book value to verify it is priced in a reasonable range and look at similar classifieds ads to learn the going rate for the specific items or services that interest you. We caution buyers to not pursue buying the car if the vehicle is priced unusually low.
Seller claims to be located outside the U.S.A.
We caution buyers to be aware of any communication, and specifically any low priced vehicle offers, that they receive from sellers indicating that they are located outside the U.S.A., as these types of offers are more commonly fraudulent in nature. It might be more difficult for you to resolve disputes with sellers that are in different states or countries than where the buyer lives.
Seller desires to use Yahoo! endorsed or a third-party service to broker the sale of the car.
Please note that Yahoo! Autos does not take possession of users' vehicles, we do not work with agents, and we do not work with money transfer agencies, so please beware that any communication you receive stating that Yahoo! Autos does use these services, as it is a misrepresentation. We advise buyers against sending online payments to sellers without meeting the seller or seeing the vehicle in person. Again, we strongly encourage buyers to see the vehicle, meet the seller, and complete any transfer of any payment in person.
If you do decide to use a third-party service to assist you in completing your online transaction, we encourage the buyer to initiate the process using a reputable third party. Below are some payment and delivery options that can help protect the buyer and the seller:

Escrow services: Escrow services such as Escrow.com protect both parties from credit card fraud, offer sellers protection from a claim of non-delivery, and give the buyer an opportunity to inspect the product and return it if it's damaged or not as described. Please know that Yahoo! does not provide any escrow service. If you receive a request from a buyer or a seller referring to Yahoo! Escrow Service, it is fraudulent.
Person-to-person payment services: Person-to-person payments can take place online or with a check. There are built-in protections for both parties with these services. Protections might vary depending on the service. For more information on the pros and cons of different payment options, see the FTC Guide to Online Payments.
If you feel that you might have identified a fraudulent ad or seller on the Yahoo! Autos website, please report it to our customer care team for review.

Please know that Yahoo! Autos does not endorse or verify the information contained in any listing. Your best protection is common sense.$

Vin Number to my Husbands old Car....Help guys.....?

Sara

Ok so my Husband so,d a 1970 Ford Maverick years ago and now he has been looking to buy another one (midlife crisis I think....lol) Anyways I think I want to try to buy him one for his Birthday in the next couple of years and I would really like to find the exact one that he sold years ago. He doesn't have any of the old paperwork on it and can't remember what insurance company he had it insured through. I know there has to be a way to look up vehicle records of some of these that are for sale and see if they are his old car. All I know about it is the year and color and a few other little details about it.

Does anyone know how I can track this down and see if it is really one of these that are for sale?
I don't want to chase after the owner all I want to do is contact some of the ones that are already for sale and see if they are actually his old car. So It's not like I'm gonna go knock on a strangers door and say hey you have my husbands old car let me buy it when its not for sale but if i have the vin and find one for sale that looks similar then I could compare them

Answer
I feel for you, but you won't be able to find the VIN number anywhere, and there is no way to look them up in any kind of database. Even if you had the VIN, the owner's info is private, and no agency would legally be able to give you the info.

There are several good websites to look for old Mavericks... Autotrader Classics, Hemmings, etc. You can probably find one very close to what he had.

Good luck to you, that is a very thoughtful gift. I need to have you talk to my wife, as I miss my 1970 Hemi 'Cuda.

do i call out or go in.. (bad weather conditions)?

Tenasia

so i work in a hospital and all hospital staff are what they call "essential". i have been working at this hospital for a little over a year now. i started as a housekeeper, than i got hired as per diem anesthesia aide, and just 3 weeks ago i was hired as a part time equipment service tech (lucky for me my mom works for this company so i have connections). i have been really trying to show that i am a good worker and doing my best to do well. according to the news channel, my area is supposed to be getting 5-10 inches of snow, starting from this morning into tomorrow morning. and where i live they do not plow very thoroughly, someone told me that it was because of budget cuts.. im not sure if thats true, but they do not plow very well. my mom usually works 9-5 and her whole department is being sent home at noon because of the weather. i contacted my supervisor to ask her what would i do is harsh weather conditions and she told me that since we are essential staff, it is important that we try our best to get to work. so she basically meant that i should try to avoid calling out at all costs. but my mom does not feel comfortable with my driving in the snow. i was in a car accident because of bad road conditions. my tire got stuck in some snow (because of a shotty plowing job) and i ended up getting hit. what should i do? throughout all of my jobs in the hospital, i have never ever called out, been written up, or been late and i dont want this to mess up anything. what should i do?

Answer
Go in. I worked in hospitals for over 30 years in Colorado...with lots of snow and storms. I always went in and was very irked at the wimps who did not come in and therefore I had to cover their responsibilities as well as my own. In extreme weather conditions, most hospitals have a team of guys with 4 wheel drive vehicles and there is a number you can call at the hospital to sign up for them to come and pick you up if you believe you cannot drive in those conditions.

How much do you know about the Illuminati?

Rissord

I just want to know what you know of them? Might be something very useful. Share your thoughts. Everyone is welcome. I already know much about them, I just want to know new things, if anyone knows more about them. Always learning :). So share it so everyone can know. Many people already know, how their symbolism is shown through the music industry, movies and cartoons ect. The us dollar bill and so on. That part is the basics of it I guess, since they already also have an agenda that they follow and have a goal for. They believe in some sort of higher power (Not the devil as I heard it) and call themselves freemasons who wants to control this world ect. If you think this is crazy talk :D, then do not comment and leave now. I don't want hate comments to my question, please. Be nice? How much do YOU know about this, and what more can you say about them. Every answer is accepted. Also the ones I just talked about. Just not much, because now I mentioned them. But other things as well about them instead, if possible. Thank you all :)

Come up with new things about them. The more the better :) Everyone needs to know.

What I know about the Illuminati, may be wrong too. I'm not 100% accurate. So I want to learn from you guys :).

I still believe in, that they exist. But at this moment I'm also doubting on it. Yet I see some accidents like Michael Hastings car crash, that probably was remotely controlled. I just don't know. Some things just seem very convincing to me. I don't easily believe in anything though ;)

Enlighten me lol

Answer
There is a lot of misconception and misunderstanding
on this subject. The Illuminati in the modern context means the ruling elite. They are the international bankers and royal families of Europe and elsewhere.
The goals of the Illuminati is the creation of one world government and a new world order. Here is an excellent article exposing who they are , how they operate , their plans , why are they successful. Read here http://endalltyranny.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/what-is-the-illuminati-3/
Yes. The illuminati is real. I have read hundreds of
books , articles and watched hundreds of
documentries and radio shows on this subject and i am absolutely convinced that they are real believe
me. They are the International bankers , royal families of europe. all the elite plans are happening now like end of national sovereignty , end of national identity , end of true culture etc. There is no need to search for any proof.
One should read the books of elite frontmens like H.G Wells , Bertnard Russell , G.B. Shaw , A. Huxley. These people openly wrote about the elites plan in their books and essays. Another good book by their own historian of Council on foreign relation is "Tragedy and Hope" by proffesor Caroll Quigley. Bill Clinton was
recruited by C. Quigley. All things that are part of the
agenda are rampantly promoted like Global
warmming , New age spirituality , electronic currency etc. This is a huge topic. A very good and true researcher on this subject is Alan Watt. Listen to his shows. Here is his website

Car Warranty Scam-help please! ?

LeenaJo'sM

For about two weeks now I've been getting phone calls from all over the country (my phone has city ID) and its the same message each time. They are calling for the 'third and final time' about my car warranty. I don't have one! My car is old and I bought it from my cousin. I've pushed the button to be off their calling list numerous times. And today I asked to speak to a customer service person. I said I'd like to be off their mailing list and the guy just hung up on me.
I'm tired of these calls! What can I do?
I am on the do not call registry already!
They don't have a business name.
And...it's been weeks! I don't answer most of them and they leave voice mails.

Answer
Yep.

I am the original owner of my second beater car so I know it is so out of warrenty that it isn't even funny. So when I got a call saying it was going to expire my spidey sense kicked in..... even though I had not heard of this scam.

When I was asked was the make and model of my care I said "you called me about my warrenty so you tell me as obviously you would have that info in front of you". I did not even get an excuse and they just hung up without a word said.

My thought is if you are going to try to scam me at least lie to me and spin a good tale.

They just dial numbers at random as my number is a new one from switching companies, it is unlisted and maybe 8 people have our landline number. Everybody else has our cell numbers.

They call from multiple numbers and multiple cells so you can't tell them to remove you from their list. By using multiple numbers you can't call your phone company and have certain numbers blocked. Plus there is the kind of Yahoo service (there are many companies that do it) that I have. I have relatives in Europe. I added a number that looks like and works like a local number there. They dial this local number and they don't have to pay long distance. But if one didn't know where I was I could be calling from Europe for all that anybody would know. I could be living 3000 miles away in California if I signed up for another number.

But here is how the scams work. As long as you are still talking to them they feel that you might be that one in a hundred that might still think that maybe there is something to this and pay. They still have you "on the line" so to speak.

Maybe a husband or wife might pick up the phone and think it is good idea.... since maybe the car needs some work. They would not be doing this scam if some people did not fall for it.

Just ignore the call and do not attempt any contact. If you don't recognize don't pick it up. If it a legit person or company they can leave a message. The scammers will tire of you and move along.

what do i do with this car warranty and the dealer, should i complain?

eck210

i bought my vw jetta GLI 3 months ago used. it is an 05, with close to 93000 miles. it broke down on me monday, just stalled in the road. luckily i had my mom wit me so i could have someone in the drivers seat as i pushed my own car to the gas station. she also has AAA which saved us a lot on towing.
the car was towed to my street and was kept for a day. i called my dealer, who said that the warranty contract application hadn't been sent yet. How come? it's been 3 months since i purchased the warranty? so i tell them to fax the application to the warranty company. they "did", my VIN or contract info still hasn't showed up. i keep calling the dealer and they tell me a representative got the application. i called the representative, she says she faxed the info, that they got it.
I call back, nothing, no contract application not even under the not in file section.
Is this a fraud? what should i do? if this doesn't get straightened out, my car's repair for a bent/broken head valve will cost me around $1000. should i complain, or is this really a process that takes long and i was unfortunate that my car broke down within the so called "waiting" period?
if so, couldn't i have still got my car fixed for free since it did break down before the waiting period?
by the way the warranty is under Amerigard. are they a respectable company?

Answer
Some car dealers sit on the money for a while and use it for other things. This is illegal. If you signed the service contract you should have it noted some where on your sales contract that you have this warranty. You can take them to small claims court at no cost to yourself. Let the dealer know you will take them to court if they will not repair the car.

Car audio (amp + speakers)?

il cuoco

Please recommend component speakers that are affordable (under 150) and an amp for them as well.
I want my car to bump (already took care of subs) but still want to maintain sound quality and richness.

Thanks.

Answer
Pyle Dryver Series 6 1/2'' 2-Way Component Speaker System
http://www.cheapforme.com/product_info.php/products_id/5598585

They handle 120 watts RMS. Had two pairs of these installed in my Jaguar in the front and rear doors.

POWER ACOUSTIK CPT4-1200 CRYPT SERIES CLASS AB AMPLIFIER
http://www.cheapforme.com/product_info.php/products_id/7276206
Puts out 80 watts RMS x 4.

These speakers offer amazingly loud, clear mids and highs, lacking much bass. But, when you have subs, they sound really really good together. For a lowered price, you will enjoy concert sound in your vehicle.

Even a pair of them in your front only with a POWER ACOUSTIK CPT2-600 CRYPT SERIES CLASS AB AMPLIFIER that puts out 100 watts RMS x 2 will sound sweet with a subwoofer setup.

Cheap cars?

Kaitlin H

Where can i get a really cheap car? One thats isn't a peice of junk and in good shape. I do prefer a honda over other cars but ill take what i can get. Thanks

Answer
If you want to buy a high quality car with a lowest price for the most reliable,I suggest you try auto auctions.

There are there kinds of car auctions.
Dealer only auctions --- only licensed dealers are allowed to buy or sell cars,You can not get in or bid without being a licensed car dealer or an employee.

Public auctions --- the public is allowed in.In fact, you usually cant by anything from public 'open' auctions because usually the pricing is too high.

Government and Police auctions --- Every day, the government confiscates, seizes and repossesses thousands of Vehicles. These vehicles are usually typically listed at 90% OFF their original value and auctions usually start at $100.

Two months ago,I bouht a near new SUV from online police auction. It only cost me $730 and i have not had one problem with it yet .
I followed the guide on
http://www.usedcarsinfo.info/index.php?t=usedcar .That site lists top 5 Police auction sites and help you choose the best one.
Good luck!

2013 Honda Civic coupe or 2013 Hyundai Elantra coupe?

Huong

I'm looking to buy a new car. Which one is better for long distance (about 300 miles) driving?

Answer
The fact that brand new automobiles costs big buck$, making the correct choice/decision is important for your happiness and peace of mind. Hondas and Toyotas are built better and are known for their reliabilty to last forever if basic preventative maintenance is adhered to, Their reputation is confirmed annually by Consumer Reports.

Both the 2013 Honda Civic and 2013 Honda Accord are Consumer Reports "Best Buys!" In fact though the Honda Accord was just restyled for 2013, for someone in your shoes that drives long distances you might want to consider the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid that gets 38-40 mpg or if you can wait Honda announced on-January 22, 2013 that they will be introducing the 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid Sedan based on the Touring trim level that supposedly will be the most fuel efficient sedan in America rated by EPA in the "all electric mode" at 115 mpg. In the gasoline mode the fuel economy is rated at 46-47 mpg. Now the bad news, starting price is $40,570.

Hope the Above Info Helps!
