Is CCP-China becoming a chaotic state as repeated plant explosions occurred in front of CCP headquarters?

Freely

Following last Monday's self-immolation explosion in front of Mao's picture in Tiananmen Square, yesterday a devastated explosion was planted in front of Taiyuan, Shanxi CCP office buildings.

It's said that over 50,000 of similar chaos recorded in CCP offices all over China in 2012.

What does this tell of the Chinese People?
@ Cutie, no evidence nor proof that the planted bombs are "foreign funded". However the self-sacrificed heros did say they did it out of revenge of CCP's cruel and corrupted oppressed rule.
The bombing going on in CCP-China are all planted by Chinese Nationals to show their dissatisfaction towards their own rulers and government while those in the US and India are done by foreign extremists. Haven't DL, crawlwid, elementaryeiji......etc been telling us that Chinese People are very happy under CCP?
@ Mr Liu, The fact that these bombings occured right before the CCP 18th Garbage Meeting is a strong signal to Xi and his corrupted team to cut off all bull$hIt. For instance reforming the hukou or residency permit system has been raised in each and every Garbage Meeting but nothing ever laid down for the last 20 years. Chinese Nationals obviously are fed up with the CCP.
@ Defende of faith "Great Tibetan"

Surely more serious bombings would be seen in front of CCP offices across the country. Over 50,000 chaotic protests in front of CCP offices are raged by Chinese Nationals in the past year, many of them are unreported and covered up by CCP.
EDIT

Answer
I would say yes, I can see the sign of CCP's ruling decline from the car crash incident at in front of the Tiananmen Square. And I also can see the result of CCP's chaotic rule from this type of suicidal car crash incident.

Those poor Uyghurs who commited suicide in front of the Tiananmen Square are trying to give a warning signal to the CCP. And they are trying to express their displease towards the CCP by committing suicide at in front of the Tiananmen square.

And by the way, there is a news about CCP's provincial headquarter office in Taiyuan, Shanxi being bombed by the homemade bomb. There were 8 people who injured from the Taiyuan bombing, two cars were damaged, and one was died from the Taiyuan bombing. Seven small explosions were occurred at Taiyuan's Yingze street and the Police officers found steel balls, circuit boards and similar explosive materials at the scene.

For a further information about Taiyuan bombing, check the links bellow:
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/china/2013-11/06/c_132863556.htm
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-24830724

It seems the Tiananmen Square car crash and the recent bombing at CCP's provincial headquarter office in Taiyuan, Shanxi can tell us the possible decline of the CCP's ruling regime.
The 2 incidents that I have mentioned above finally show the consequences of CCP's horrible ruling. The people's displease and sentiment towards the corrupted CCP can be shown from the Tiananmen car crash and the recent Taiyuan bombing.

The people who committed the recent bombing in Taiyuan are actually trying to show their displease towards the CCP regime. And they are trying to give a warning signal to the corrupted CCP by bombing CCP's headquarter office at Taiyuan, Shanxi.

The news said actually those people who committed the Taiyuan bombing are actually trying to protest to the CCP regime about the social inequality in China.

Is Obama about to put another knife in the auto companies?

YUKON

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Obama-says-automakers-need-apf-14762428.html

Obama is going to raise the fuel economy standards for 2011 model year cars and trucks, just one more thing the auto companies have to worry about.

Why doesent the government at least wait till they get back on their feet.

Answer
0'Bama is building a model.

It will be a model with the appropriate, or inappropriate depending on your point of view, agencies / bureaucracies, that will be in place for the future nationalizations of companies that make more money than the he or the government is comfortable allowing.
This method will by-pass congressional approval with so many different pieces of legislation that no congress, committee or parliamentary body could eliminate it in one vote.

Companies will only be allowed to make as much money as they can to meet the criteria of some employee collective bargaining agreement, pay the managers an agreed upon salary with NO bonuses for performance, pay the taxes and provide an account for marginal, scheduled expansion.

If by some miracle the company makes more money than that, the government will take it over declaring it an economic risk and run it into the ground so that another company fills the void.
Then the cycle will repeat itself.

See: Venezuela, Uruguay, Bolivia, Laos, Cambodia, Russia.

Welcome to change in America comrade.

What exactly is an International Photojournalist?

Q. How does it differ from the regular Photojournalism? (local)

Answer
"Photojournalism" is a term coined by Americans where two separate occupations have been joined together -- journalism and news photography.

In many countries, and Australia is one, it is not allowed for a person to work in such a combined manner. One is either a photographer of a journalist. (It is a union "separation of labour")

Domestically, one shoots within ones' own country, most likely shooting fires, fatal car accidents, hold-ups and other domestic stories while an international photojournalist would be classified as a "foreign correspondent" and working in a foreign country covering international stories including wars.
examples --
a) The British photographer, Tim Page, working in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam during the Second Indochina (Vietnam) War.
b) The Australian Photojournalist, John Everingham, (photographing for AP and UPI plus writing for AP and Newsweek) working in Laos and later in Thailand shooting mostly "travel" material for airlines and travel magazines along with writing stories for the same outlets.
c) The German photographer, Dieter Ludwick, working in Cambodia for AP and also CBS during the Second Indochina War.
d) The American photographer, Al Rockoff, who worked for AP in Cambodia during the Second Indochina War and has returned to Cambodia much later.
e) Myself, working for Visnews, UPITN, and UPI in Cambodia during the Second Indochina War and later in Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Pakistan for Visnews and Reuters.

Can the cold temperature of an airplane cargo damage electronics?

Antoine

My father warned me that a long time ago, he had his laptop in his luggage and the cold temp of the airplane's cargo destroyed it. Is this really true? I haven't found any info on google about it. I am taking the plane and want to bring my DJ equipment and studio monitors in my luggage. Should I worry?

Answer
No, the cold can not destroy the electronics. What likely destroyed his laptop was rough handling in loading and unloading the luggage.

They are not gentle.

I've had a laptop in the trunk of my car in the middle of a New England Winter and it did not boot up until it got closer to normal operating temps, but once it warmed up it worked fine for another 5 years. It still runs in fact, just is sitting in the closet collecting dust since it is now almost 8 years old and has been replaced.

So as long as you really pad it well against getting bumped and banged around (bubble wrap in several layers as well as being surrounded by clothing) it should survive.

I'd still have it as carry on just to be safe though.

What is expected of me? Im 23yrs old and live in NZ. in 7 days I fly to see my best friend and we are going to hit the town for his bachelors, but then his wedding is the next day, and I avent prepared a speech! anyone done this before or have any ideas? things that break the ice, tips on humor, phrases that work well. I duno, just need any help I can get. some background info might help...My friend and I were juvenile delinquents and did some pretty bad things, but now im at university and hes a carpenter and we live quite normal lives now. we are both into ramp sports like bmx and skating. His fiance is really nice too.

Answer
Sorry, I wrote a novel.

First of all, see if you can move the bachelor's to a day earlier; if not, make sure the groom doesn't get completely falling-down drunk. I say this because in NZ (like in Canada) the parties have to be in sound mind to contract a marriage, and if he's hung over to the extent that he's passing out at the altar the minister might legally have to cancel the ceremony until he's in sound mind. Don't laugh: it happened here last week.

You may be expected to attend the rehearsal if there is one. There's enough variance in services that it makes sense - some best men walk the maid of honour up the nave during the recessional, others walk the flower girl. You also get a free lunch or dinner out of it.

Don't hit on the bridesmaids, or at least make sure they're unattached before you do. Every time a best man hits on a bridesmaid here there's always a very large boyfriend, or sometimes girlfriend, ready to contest the matter. Blood On The Altar was a bad enough movie without re-creating it in real life.

Generally you have to wear whatever the bride or the bride's mother wants you to wear without complaining or picking at the collar. If you're renting, check the pockets and try it on before you leave the rental place.

Most best men are in custody of the bride's wedding ring and give it to the groom at the altar: make sure your trousers don't have a hole in the pocket, and don't pretend you lost the ring when you're standing up there - it's tired and cliched and makes the guests roll their eyes. I don't believe NZ weddings often have ring bearers, but here in Canada we see them sometimes: in those cases a boy brings the rings up to the altar on a pillow and your job is to make sure the kid doesn't drop them or swallow them before the ceremony gets to that point. (Kids are fun!)

For the pictures, you stand where you're told to and smile, and you make sure you know when and where the pictures are to be taken and don't bugger off to do something else. (Best men tend to do this, because they never even think of the photos.)

For the speech, the number one requirement is to stay sober until you're done. Drunk best men are famous for ruining receptions and making brides cry.

Try to use standard English and not use too much slang, only because if you do you'll be interrupted by Great-Aunt Babs asking her dinner partner "What did he say?" at top volume every few seconds. Don't refer to the groom's old JD days in detail - you don't know how much the fiancée knows (by the way, two "e"s in fiancée unless he's marrying a man). Especially don't insult his previous partners - doing so makes your groom think you doubt his judgment and makes the bride wonder what you say behind her back.

Humour is important, but sincerity and kindness are more important. Make the speech about him and not just your relation to him. Most public libraries have books on giving wedding speeches that can help you more than any of us, because they go into more detail. Yes, even more than me.

Do they decorate the bride and groom's getaway car in New Zealand? If they do that's your job, usually some time after the speeches.

If they have a convoy that takes the wedding party from the ceremony to the reception, you have to ride in it and you may be asked to drive the bridal car if they don't have chauffeurs.

Is 3800 NZD enough and how's life in New Zealand?

im not sho

Okay. I need answers and opinions from New Zealanders.

Someone I know is going to live in New Zealand. Well her monthly income's gonna be 3800 New Zealand dollars.

So.. is that enough to raise a family?

And is that gonna be considered poor, slightly underpriveleged, below average, average-average, above average or what? hehe.

I think she's the breadwinner of the family.. I just wanted to ask your opinions cause she asked my opinion about it and I havent the slightest idea. Hello. I'm only a teen and I dont live in NZ....

Please be frank. Thanks a bunch! :)

Oh yeah and can you give me sample monthly bills? Like an average electric bill, water bill thing, rent, groceries, bla bla bla. How much is a house? a car? gas? a krispy kreme??? haha. thanks.

oh and. is life easy there? are jobs easy to get? is it peaceful there? like, low crime rate and stuff?

Thank you so much.

:)
like, how much is a monthly rent for an average flat?... :)
i have another question. hehe.

for you guys, where do you think is the most peaceful place in New Zealand? what city/ town? thanks!

[btw, thanks frantic and yankiwi for very detailed advice/answers]
uh yeah. she sort of is the breadwinner of the family.

um. she has 3 children. one is in preschool, one is in gradeschool and one is in highschool..

Answer
Kia Ora,

"Frantic" gave you some good base figures for housing and utilities and the like.

Can you please provide a bit more info about the family size & situation?
Where is she coming from - what country?
If she is the breadwinner of the family ~ is there a partner? How many are in the family?
Are there children involved, and if so are they school aged?
All students except those in elementary grades must wear uniforms,
which are not cheap.

Here on the SI, the 'average' rent for a 2 bedroom place ranges from $270-$400/week
(I just checked the listings in the paper).
Our electric bill is about $125 a month
and we use LP gas for hot water (another $25-40/month).

We mainly use cell phones but have a land line for the Internet connection (about $75/month).
We don't have a water bill.
The rubbish collection and recycling is free
but rubbish must be placed in the approved council trash bags
and the recycling needs to be clean and sorted
or else it won't be picked up.

We bought a used car at auction and it cost us $6000.
Gas prices were $1.79 a liter when I filled the car up last week -
but prices might have gone up since Christmas.
(There are 3.7843 - [almost 4] - liters in a gallon).

It is a real hassle finding a parking space in the city,
and parking can be expensive.
Instead, I spend about $20/month for bus fares to and from the campus.

I was shopping yesterday.
Here's some costs -
loaf of whole grain bread $2.59
2 L of milk $3.19
pack of chewing gum $1
1 dozen range eggs $4.77
1 pineapple $2.99
box of Kleenex tissues $1.99
bottle of Herbal Essence shampoo $7.99
pair of Levis 527 denim jeans $160.00.

Some areas are plagued with gang-related activities that disrupt the community.
Also, youth with no direction, morals, or goals,
(and very little self-esteem) consequently vandalize and terrorize the area
perhaps in order to feel 'big' and 'important.'
But where I live is relatively peaceful
(except on weekend nights
when the boy racers hoon up and down the valley).

I'd like to think it had a low crime rate
but just this month someone robbed 4 banks in succession.

Also, last month we left our car in a DOC parking lot to go on a walking track
and when we returned the side window was smashed in.

Life is pretty good here ~
but there are problems here just like everywhere else.
In many places, good jobs are hard to find --
yet there are always basic physical jobs available --
for example they import people to work in the fruit orchards.

Sorry there are no Krispy Kremes where I live.
But I know what you mean.
Sometime I wish I had the $ to invest in a Dunkin' Donuts franchise.

=)

It's nice of you to help your friend
and a very good idea to research as much as possible before making a move.
It would be even better (if possible) to come for a visit before taking the plunge.

Good luck and hope this helps.

PS - in response to your other items I double checked and the house/flat prices are still in the same weekly figure as I mentioned above.

Grade school/elementary kids don't need uniforms. HS kids do.

Also keep in mind that if you friend decides on settling in a nice peaceful small town, for example, the oldest child might have to board at a high school out of town, since not every place has a high school (or college, as they call them here). However, if she stays in the city then that should be no problem... but with bigger cities come larger rents.

As far as the most peaceful I'd say Twizel or Lake Ohau on the SI - and that is at least until the tourists invade the area with their noisy boats and jetskis!!

Just remember the further you get away from the cities, the more peaceful it is---however it will be more of a drive to work and shops, etc.

Why was 7 News running an undercover investigation on David Campball anyway?
How long had they been following him? And isn't that a massive invasion of privacy?

Answer
If he was in the act of committing a crime. Then there is nothing wrong in having an undercover operation.

Using a government car for personal reasons, like it is alleged in this case.

Is obtaining property by deception.

The public has a right to know considering the public has paid for that car through taxes. Those taxes pay for those cars so politicians can get to and from business meetings and to and from parliament.

Not to go to gay sex bars.

How do I get involved with developing electric car technology?

Q. I have recently watched the movie,"Who killed the electric car" It was great. Now I want to work in this field. I have my degree in BA. I'm not really interesting in going back to school, but wonder what company could I work at to get started?

Would I be made fun of for driving a 2013 Buick Lacrosse?

I am about to get my license within a matter of months, and I'm looking at cars. I'm really into the 2013 Buick Lacrosse, but my parents keep telling me that it's an old persons car and no one will respect me if I drive one. I'm going to get the Touring edition if I get the the car.

US News Review:
#1 Affordable Luxury Car
8.0 Performance Rating
9.8 Safety Rating
9.3 Exterior Rating
8.3 Interior Rating
3.5/5 Reliability Rating

Answer
Anybody who makes fun of you for having that nice of a car probably drives either a Ford Escort or Chevy Cavalier. The Lacrosse is a great car and it is really cool car to have for your first car. It is big enough to hold your friends and it still gets good mpg. I would love to drive that car but I still have a great car (2012 Jeep Liberty).

How much of a discount can a dealership give me?

garyjr707

I have a 2010 charger but want to trade it in for 2013. I still owe 19k on it and paying 360 a month but if I get a 2013 charger I don't want to pay more a month when I'm paying now. So will the dealership lower the price enough to have my payments close or the same from what I'm paying now.

Answer
Not a chance. Here's why:

First, and foremost, Per Kelley Blue Book, the trade value for a 2010 Charger, with 50,000 miles (estimated at 12,500 per year, and the 2014's are out), is $13,327 (in Very Good condition). This means that you have $5,673 in negative equity.

Second, the MSRP on a base model 2013 (not even a 2014) Charger is $26,295, the invoice (dealer cost) is $25,292. That's as low as they can go, because that is what they paid for the car. Forget myths such as "they can give up their holdback", or "they can take a loss, and get the next guy". They are going to make some type of profit.

Banks loan money based on "loan to value". This means that the amount they loan is directly proportional to the retail value of the vehicle. No lender will approve you for more than 125% loan to value, to include tax, title, and license. The most they would lend on a car that costs $26,295 is $32,868. If they sold you the 2013 Charger at invoice cost, plus tax ($2,023.36 - estimated at 8%), title and license (estimated at $450), you come out to $27,765.36. Subtract this from the $32,868 that they will lend you, and you're left with $5,102.64 to put towards your negative equity. You would still need to put down $570.36 (the negative equity minus the amount rolled into the loan), just to get the deal "in line" with the lender's guidelines. Your payments would be $635 (60 months at 6%).

To get down to a $360 payment, you would need to put enough money down to finance no more than $18,600 (payment would be $359 at 60 months). This is going to be roughly $14,000.

Sorry I don't have better news.

I know Ferdinand Porsche used it on a GP car in 1932, but did he use it in the early 356? Or the early 911? Because I found that the Facel Vega HK500 had LSD.

I've wondered now, all of a sudden, since I thought LSD was new.

Answer
The main reason why manufacturers, to this day, have poured millions into auto racing is that it really is a testing ground for the production car industry; quantum leaps such as disc brakes would have taken decades more to hit the streets if Jaguar had not evaluated them on it's successful C-Type race car.

Getting power from the engine to the wheels of an automobile has provided a seemingly endless challenge for rear-wheel-drive, front-wheel-drive, 4-wheel-drive, front-engine, rear-engine, and mid-engine cars, longitudinal, transverse, vertical, slant, and flat engines, plus an amazing array of hardware in between. George Selden's notorious 1877 patent was for a front-drive carriage with a transverse 3-cylinder engine, anticipating the Chevy/Suzuki Sprint by over a century. When it comes to car designs, there are very few new ideas, just progressively successful adaptations of old concepts.

The heart of the drivetrain is the transmission. Because gasoline engines develop their torque over a very narrow speed range, several gears are needed to reach useful road speeds. (Steam engines and electric motors can be used in cars with no transmissions.)

The modern transmission was introduced by a pair of Frenchmen -- Louis-Rene Panhard and Emile Levassor -- in 1894. The engineers had invited the press to a demonstration of "the most revolutionary advancement to date in the brief history of the motor car industry." Unfortunately, the engine in their demo vehicle died, and they were reduced to giving a chalk talk on multi-geared transmission theory to a bored press corps.

One 19th-century newsman reported their invention as "more hocus-pocus from charlatans trying to cash in on the public's fascination with the new motor car." Maybe the inventors should have skipped the tech talk and just used the description later attributed to Panhard: "It's brutal, but it works!"

Cars of the time transmitted engine power to the wheels in a simple fashion that was easy for non-engineers to visualize. The engine drove a set of bevel reduction gears that drove a shaft and pulley. Leather belts extended between the pulley and geared wheels on an axle. One wheel, the small one, got the car going by meshing with a ring gear on one of the driving wheels. The big wheel then took over to get the car to hustle along at a top speed of 20 mph. If the car encountered a hill that it did not have the power to climb, the driver would come to a dead stop so he could engage the small wheel.

Thus did British auto pioneer F. W. Lanchester describe the transmissions in his cars: "One belt-driven HIGH gear that will go over everything and one bel-driven LOW gear in case the car had to climb a tree."

It was not until a year after their disastrous news conference that Panhard and Levassor regained their reputations. At this time, they had their first car ready for the press to drive. With it, they changed a lot of minds.

That 1895 Panhard-Levassor was revolutionary -- not the transmission alone, but the whole drivetrain layout. In fact, it has served as the prototype for most vehicles built in the 90 years since then. Unlike other cars of that day, it possessed a vertically mounted engine in the front of the vehicle that drove the rear wheels through a clutch, 3-speed sliding gear transmission and chain-driven axle. The only modern features missing from the setup were a differential rear axle and driveshaft. These came along three years later, in 1898, when millionaire-turned-auto-hobbyist Louis Renault connected a vertical engine with transmission to a "live" rear axle by means of a metal shaft.

The live rear axle -- which Renault adapted from an idea developed in 1893 by an American, C. E. Duryea -- was called the differential rear axle. It used a number of gears to overcome the problem of rapid tire wear, which resulted on turns with the "dead" axles used by all other carmakers. "Differential" referred to the ability of the unit to turn the outer driving wheel faster than the inner driving wheel, eliminating tire scuffing in turns.

By 1904, the Panhard-Levassor sliding gear manual transmission had been adopted by most carmakers. In one form or another, it has remained in use until recent times. Obviously, there have been improvements, the most significant being the invention of a synchronizing system that permits drive and driven gears to be brought into mesh with each other smoothly without gear clashing. This system allows both sets of gears to reach the same speed before they are engaged. The first of these synchromesh transmissions was introduced by Cadillac in 1928. An improvement to the design patented by Porsche is widely used today.

Between the time the sliding gear-transmission was introduced and the perfection of the synchromesh, there were other attempts at making it easier for the driver to shift gears. One was the planetary transmission in the 1908 Model T Ford. It had a central gear, called the "sun" gea

Is there anything I can do to avoid this rental car damage charge?

Pmpinainte

I think I may be getting the short end of the stick here but I'll wait to see your opinion.

I just returned a rental car after having it for 3 weeks while my car was getting repaired for a serious accident. I got a call this afternoon saying that there were multiple scratches on my rental car about 2 feet in length cutting through the clear coat running from behind the front wheel well to the door. Almost at the bottom of the car.

This was news to me as I did not hit anything while I was driving and I did not notice anything when I returned the car to the repair shop. I am going in to see the damage with my own eyes tomorrow.

I have this feeling that if I look at previous rental contracts before mine(where they mark prior minor scratches/dings) that I would find this one on there. It is so low on the car that I honestly would have missed it when walking around the car when I first was picking it up. Am I able to get a copy of the prior rental agreements from Enterprise? I know they have a damage report but that is only for major damages that need fixes such as damage to bumper or accident damage.

Is there anything I can do? I stopped insurance after 10 days because it was 20 dollars a day and I didn't want to pay anymore. Is there anything that can be done or anyway I can fight this? Anyone know how much a 2 foot scratch costs to repair?

Like I said I'm thinking I might be screwed.
I returned my car to a repair shop who partners with Enterprise. They collect the keys and an Enterprise reps picks up the vehicle Later. No one from Enterprise was there to verify damage.

Answer
If they did not notate the damage when you returned the car, you are not responsible. The damage could have occurred after you returned the car. Tell them that you are not going to pay for damage that was not shown to you when you returned the vehicle, and if they want to sue you you will be happy to file a counter suit for harassment.

They would need to prove that the damage was on the vehicle when it was returned, not that they found it later

car payment info image

Hi There.

My brother and i will both be done with college this spring, starting jobs where we would both make $15 per hour. I have a $300 car payment for another 2 years, and he will need a car within a year, of a similar payment.

We want to get a small house here in Iowa, area code 50613, that has a large workspace such as either a very large garage, or a seperate workshop, perhaps made from a pole barn. Neither of us plan on raising families there, so a 2-bedroom house with 1 bath and a small kitchen, just a bachelor pad, would fit quite well. We'd like to be near town, but rural enough to not have to worry too much about neighbors, since we've grown up in the country and are used to being able to shoot firearms, and work on our cars without worrying about leaving a tool laying out, for a passing kid to steal if we were in town. Darn tool-stealing kids.

Honestly, i think we would both live in a large RV if the price was right, and if we could find an empty lot for dirt cheap to build a simple workshop on. We have welding equipment, an air compressor, stuff that just doesn't fit into a small house's garage in the middle of town. Our parents are selling the acreage to move into a condo in town, and my brother and i cannot afford the huge house or property it's on, when the large workshop and rural setting are all we really need.

I thought about maybe just living in an apartment in town, and renting somebody's unused barn outside of town, for my brother to rebuild a muscle car, and myself to build a dune buggy.

Okay so this is a ton of extra info... Any advice or thoughts on how much we could get a small rural house for?

Answer
Depends on how far out of town you are willing to live. Cedar Falls-Waterloo is a college town, with an industrial base. Farther East and South, the more expensive. You get 75-100 West Wright/Hamilton/Franklin county areas, you can buy what you are looking for within $50-60,000 range. 30 year loan, you're talking $600-700 month including property tax and insurance. Should be able to rent around $400-500 month

Who else has Geico auto insueance and have you ever had a problem with them?

Q. I got a bank loan to buy a car, and I had to put the leinholder on the policy. Geico keeps sending me policy documents 2 at a rime about twice a week with different info on them. Some have the leinholfer listed and some have them deleted. They're driving me nuts. They're going to cause my car payment to double if they don't quit monkeying around.
Geico won't double the car payment. They're the ones that told me the lender would take out their own policy on the car if I don't have colision on it, which I do. I would then have to pay the lender the policy premium, then raising the payment. And don't call me stupid. The problem I'm most concerned about is Geico keeps deleting the lender from the policy.

Answer
I have to ask, how is this going to double your car payment. If you have paid for insurance coverage, and can prove it, who will be raising your car payment and how? Contact Geico and ask for the office manager to get the paperwork straightened out.

What are some statistics for showing there is more bad news than good news in the world?

Q. I am trying to proove to my friend that there is more bad news in the world for good news.... does anyone know any statistics?

Answer
It is a well known fact. Make your own statistics. Watch 4 hours of local news, count the good news articles and the bad news then compare. Bad news will be crime, car accidents, fires, lay-offs, plant closings etc. Good news will be new jobs, construction starts, school openings etc.

What star NASCAR drivers are competing in this year's Daytona 24 hours? What cars are they in and where will they start? Are any in a car that is favored to win?

Answer
Some NASCAR drivers to run Rolex 24 at Daytona: quite a few drivers with NASCAR ties [ran a race in Cup, Nationwide, Trucks, track owner] will be running the Rolex 24 at Daytona at Daytona International Speedway. Including: Jimmie Johnson, Dario Franchitti, Juan Pablo Montoya, AJ Allmendinger, Kurt Busch, Boris Said, Michael McDowell, Scott Pruett, Bill Lester, John Andretti, A.J. Foyt IV, Tony George, Brent Sherman, David Donohue, Buddy Rice, JC France, Colin Braun, Marc Goossens, Andy Pilgrim, Anthony Lazzaro, Jack Baldwin, Andy Lally, Max Papis, David Murry, Chris Bingham, Joe Varde. Tony Stewart will NOT run the race.

The Ganassi cars probably have to be favored again and have won it the last couple of years.

Why does the media need to give more then 1 days coverage of the awful shooting?

Adamismyna

I feel like it causes more violence when the media builds up these shootings and covers the profile of the shooter. Shouldn't the media end coverage of the CT Shooting after today? Shouldn't there be petitions asking the media not to detail the shooter or his background. I feel like there is too much coverage of these often and tomorrow the news should move on to other stories.

Answer
American media loves sensationalism. They will cover this for days - but of course with advertising thrown in. So while we are watching reporter after reporter recount the story or interview every Tom, Dick, and Harry, they will be trying to convince us to buy a new mattress, car, insurance, or "Happy Season" gift.

The media is a big cause of a lot of the issues in America with their bias, inaccuracies, sensationalism, phony value system, and over-dramatization. American news reporting is one of the worst on the planet. Inaccurate, doctored, much news skipped, very little international news, biased to suit their political agenda, and tailored to sell advertising. Thank God for the internet.

What is the usage of basic technology (like tv and internet) in South Africa?

I need to know for a history project, please include sources. Also, how do they generally get their news? Does anybody control the release of information?

Answer
We use carrier pigeons and also the elephants trumpet the news every evening. In emergencies we use smoke signals. Seriously... There's electricity. Tv's. Internet. Radio. Cars. Cellphones. There's independent news and a public broadcaster. And no serious censorship problems. It's pretty much standard stuff.

How do you grow your hair long?

kaysee

I usually have my hair short, but I'm going to south africa for 6 months and I want to come back with gorgeoussss long locks because my roommates have never seen me with long hair. I'm already taking biotin, but any more suggestion on how to avoid split ends & speed up hair growth???

Answer
Biotin alone is not going to do that for your hair, that's like have a car and not use gas. You need all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, not just biotin. Do you know what's in the biotin?
Biotin - cauliflower, liver, salmon, carrots, bananas, cereals, yeast, and soy flour. Keep in mind that biotin content is reduced when food is cooked or preserved. One YA poster caused her to have major breakouts from supplements. Another poster said: "
i took biotin to grow my hair out, and it ended up falling out too!! it was worse around my bang area, like where you part it, there waas a huge patch of hair missing so i had to move my part for 5 months!" Another example, one taking Biotin & Zinc: "I have taken Biotin ( 300mcg ), Zinc (15mg) and Folic Acid(800mcg) and I realised my breast have gotten really sore, I didn't know what the reason was, but then I realised that I have been taken vitamins."

Cutting your split ends yourself, spend 5-10 mins. on a sunny day so you can easily spot them, using a 2" scissors, cut strand by strand, section by section, allowing new growth to take over. Then 2x a year, get a good hair cut. This won't speed things up, but it will make the hair look healthier while it's growing. Even healthy hair like mine get them, due to normal brushing & styling. Hormonal changes can have a big effect on hair.

NEVER take supplements without your doctor's OK. Buy/use supplements at your own risk.
If you're healthy, & very active, your nails are growing, your hair should be growing RIGHT NOW. My 4 years old grand daughter knows how to let her hair grow. It's almost down to her waist. If you want perfection, you NEED patience. Even anorexic models have long hairs, and they're not considered 'healthy'. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2250422/Frightening-words-4st-anorexic-Valeria-Levitin-gets-FAN-MAIL-shes-thin.html
I was one, and had long hair when I weighed 85 lbs.

Babies can do that, by drinking their milk. . . . so can you, so can any of us without any help. From your: good genes, good hair care and all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, that's where you get all your vitamins & minerals for growing from head to toes. Shampoos are meant for cleaning the hair, not for growing.

If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: "Foods for Healthy Hair" http://www.foodforhealthyhair.com/ http://sg.news.yahoo.com/food-for-healthy-hair.html - or 10 Best Foods for Your Hair.

http://gulfnews.com/life-style/beauty-fashion/beauty/best-foods-for-healthy-hair-1.1183522
NO MATTER which link you picked, they all suggest the same foods. Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results. Hair is dead, but hair also has electrical energy; the negative charge of damaged hair can lead to flyways and unruly hair.

Growing healthy hair doesn't come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you're in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you're eating healthy foods. But when hair isn't growing as fast, it's because they've been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

I got a car loan for a car. I told them that I needed the car title to get the tags. They gave me the title and I got the tag but they never asked for the title back. Now I have the title, and I'm just wondering what will happen when if I don't pay.

Answer
They can repossess the car since the loan has not been paid off and your credit will be ruined. Physical possession of the title does not release you from payment. The title should have their name as owner or lien holder.

A website I've recommended in the past would be...

Good luck

I have bad credit. Is it possible for me to still be able to get a car loan for a used vehicle?

Jordan B

Without, paying super high interest rates? I also want to spare myself the embarrassment of being turned down for a car loan at a dealer. Any suggestions?

Answer
You CAN get a decent car loan, even with bad credit. I've done it, but you'll have to look around. That's one of the BIG mistakes people make...just taking the first offer that's given to them when they go to the dealer. Be smarter than that.

I've bookmarked this site to go back to next time I need a loan...

My car air-cond is out after 3 days i've refill the aircond gas? What the problems and solutions?

car info by reg number image

haida358

I send my car to mechanic shop to check for the leaks...but they said no leaks and only need to refill the gas. After 3 days i've find out only the wind blow and feel warm. Why?

Answer
Not much info here. DO you check the pressures when you refilled and now when its not cooling? Are they close to the same? Is your compressor pumping? Just because it turns dosnt mean its pumping. Is your AC clutch engaged? Do you have power to the AC clutch? If its out of gas again obviously you have a leak. Use some diswashiong soap and water to make some bubbles and dab on with a reg to see if you can locate the leak, A leak this big might be able to be heard in a quiet area. But you could have any other number of problems from your discription. (Check the compressor crank shaft, the seal may be leaking by) If you dont have gages and a volt meeter or test light you'll need tools to eliminate what problems you dont have to narrow it down to what you do have.

Can someone file a police report for a traffic incident if no personal info was given and police not called?

redseastar

Other car wasn't hit or damaged, just went up on curb. The driver and other car (claimed to be father) verbally accosted me after the accident and asked for my license & reg. I told them I will provide that after the police got there. They took my plate number and said they were calling but never did. Instead, verbally accosted me again and got into their cars and drove off.

Can I be held liable for this if they decide to file a report for this so-called incident and report me as a hit and run?

Answer
Since they did not wait for the Police to get involved, I would say that they did not report it to their insurance either. Sometimes with insurance, even if it's a no fault situation, it will still cause your premiums to go up. However, since they took your license & registration information, they can either just use it to scare you whether it be now or later. If they should try that tactic later, I would then tell them that a police report was filed and would they like to add their information at this time. That is in the event they try to "settle" out of pocket which does not give them too much credibility for their character.

All sound like good ideas. But how will it all be paid for??

How will it all be paid for??

Answer
The top 5% income earners pay 85% of the total tax bill. As a small business owner, I can tell you that everything you list that the dems want to give away makes me cringe. My business does not make a profit after I pay my taxes. I'd like to be able to afford to hire some more employess, but can't because the gov't takes my money and gives it to the lazy bastards who don't want to work! It is not a dem issue, it is a generational issue of dope smoking baby-boomers wanting to make decisions based on emotion rather than intellect.

Do i have to have a parent or gaurdian with me to get a loan?

Ryan

I am 16, i have a car and a job. Ive worked with the news paper since i was 14 and currently work at Safeway. I have good credit also.

Answer
The law regarding minors and contracts is more subtle than the others here stated.

A minor can sign a contract, and minors do all of the time. For example, you mentioned you are employed by Safeway. When you accepted its job offer, you almost certainly signed a contract with Safeway agreeing to follow its rules for employment. You probably signed an employment contract with the newspaper distributor, too. You mentioned you have good credit, which tells me you have a bank account (another contract there) and may have some credit cards (more contracts). Credit scores do not materialize out of the air, and are the result of a credit history, which strongly implies you have repaid loans or credit cards in the past.

A bank or credit union may accept your application for a vehicle loan if you are a minor. However, it will almost certainly require you to have an adult co-signer. Why? Because although you've proven minors can and do sign contracts all of the time, courts do not enforce contracts against minors.

That seems to be the source of the incorrect statement, "minors can't sign contracts." Some lender will refuse to accept a loan application from a minor because the minor could default, and then later in court claim incompetence due to age, and the court may accept that defense.

In summary, you do not need a parent to co-sign a loan application, but you will need an adult with a high credit score, consistent income, and a low debt-to-income ratio to qualify for a loan.

"It is never too late to be who you might have been" ~ George Eliot

There was a story in the news recently about someone in China who transitioned in her 80's.

So 21 is definitely not too old. In fact the best age is whenever the person is ready and not a day before.

An Adam's apple and body hair can be taken care of. Get thee to a gender therapist and start your journey to being your true self.

What does it mean when your driving and the steering wheel locks up and you cant turn it?

Q. This happened when i was pulling into a parking space....it locked up randomly....and a few red lights came on then i tuned the car off took out the key then out it back in an started it again then it was seemingly fine....i dont know why this happened the car is older as well but in good condition..could it have something to do with the battery? or?

Answer
this sounds to me like your engine died while idleing into the parking spot. This could be a number of different things, from car needs a tune up, to you put cheap gas in yesterday, and it had water in it. we need more information. The good news, I guess is it did start back up. Keep an eye on it, listen to how the car idles when you are in drive with your foot on the brake. Does it seem to be a bit more shakey at idle in gear than normal? have you used a different brand of fuel than normal recently? When was the last good full tune up using good quality parts. (auto parts stores all have a line of cheap tune up parts, and higher end tune up parts that work much better, longer, because they were not made cheaply in china. How about a fuel filter? been changed recently? or the air filter, same deal, been changed recently? hope you figure it out soon.

What can I do to make my newsletter better?

car ownership news image

meowmeow

Twice a month I make a newsletter for my avon catalogs. I feel like its kind of boring though. All it does it list items I think they should buy and good deals of the catalog. Once I marketed a muffin pan and featured a recipe for my famous pumpkin muffins, but that's really as creative as I have gotten. What else do you think would liven up my news letters?

Answer
Well, not knowing your audience, I think a joke will always attract people and they will always read the joke... and they may then share the newsletter then with friends. Another trick that I've used is to insert simple logic puzzles... not too complicated, but enough to get them interested and the next month give the solution. You can do this by getting a logic magazine with simple puzzles, reword the puzzles to use different scenario, rearranged questions or statements so that you're not just copying what you found. Puzzles are fairly generic and it would be difficult to claim ownership to a puzzle. Tricks like this cause people to always read the newsletter. You might also include a famous quote with question on 'who said that?' and answer the following month. In summary, you want material in the newsletter that is not selling goods.... that causes people to read it even when they aren't thinking of buying stuff and ensure that they never delete it without reading it. And... short recipes are also good and you might even encourage readers to send you a favorite recipe of 5 items or fewer and you could list the recipe and submitter's name... Another possibility is to ask readers to tell you their favorite Avon product and why and offer a token gift for best submission. Be sure always to include a brief personal item of light humor to help readers identify with you as a person and not just the Avon rep... e.g., your child's first day at school, the dishwasher broke, your car makes a funny noise, your hay fever is acting up... doesn't really matter.... just a brief bit to introduce the newsletter... letting them read that personal bit first. and you will find that you have fun doing the newsletter and you may later find that some of your customers are keeping old copies... :) Yes, I'm a writer...

Since aiding and abetting an illegal is a crime?

Mad Kat

Shouldn't charges be brought against Bank America and Citi corp. These banks knew these people were illegal and helped them obtain houses, cars etc...
Is this not breaking the law and aiding and abetting an illegal?
Is this not against the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act?

Answer
Yes, and they should be forbidden from allowing Mexican Matricula Consular cards as legally identification in the USA. Also, mayors and the city councils of sanctuary cities should be prosecuted for breaking that federal law. The pro-illegal alien Bush Administration aided and abetted illegal aliens by allowing the easily falsified Matricula Consular ID to be used in the USA.

U.S.agreement with Mexico & Expanding Opportunities to Home Ownership (Re-Wall St.crisis)

February 16, 2001, just three weeks after his inauguration, President Bush met with Vicente Fox, president of Mexico to discuss the terms of the Partnership for Prosperity Agreement (with Mexico) (http://www.fdic.gov/regulations/examinations/supervisory/insights/siwin04/latino_mkt.html).

The P4P agreement was signed on September 6, 2001.

On October 26, 2001, President Bush signed the USA Patriot Act of 2001. Contained in section 326(b) is a provision that allows US banks to accept Mexican Matricula Consular cards as valid ID for opening bank accounts. (NOTE: No Mexican banks accept their own government's Matricula Consular card as valid ID to open a bank account because the bearer's identity is virtually untraceable. In contrast, almost all US banks will accept it.)

As noted in the article, Bush held a press conference on June 17, 2002 to lay out his goal that by 2010 he wanted to increase 'minority' home owners by 5.5 million. (See: President Calls for Expanding Opportunities to Home Ownership (http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/06/20020617-2.html)

I am stating it here only for its humurous value. I don't agree with retaliation of any kind, your life simply works out much better without it. One time I read a funny idea though.... it only works if the person lives in a house. The person who wrote the article planned ahead about 3-4 weeks or more... got the local phone book and went through it from A-Z the goal is to have several people arriving to the recipients home at the same time.... like hundreds... by making phone calls to any service that will allow for "free home estimates" for any service imagineable. From carpenters, to plumbers, roofers, cabinet resurfacing people, garderners, window tinters...so on and so forth...its really limitless depending only on the size of the town..... . the plan would be to schedule everyone at or around the same time i.e 9.00 am on a Saturday. Then One to two weeks out a phone call would be made to those companies that bring those big inflatable Jumpers for birthdays, and ponies, and several other items. Stressing to the companies that the only way to pay would be cash on arrival because of fear of giving out a credit card number over the phone... the tricky part is having a phone number that is not tied to whomever was to try this because the various vendors can call back at anytime to confirm your requests..... thats the hardest part about it, that morning a call to order food (if there is anyone that delivers food that early) also that morning contact would be made to several of the local news agencies anonymously (maybe several times) stating to them something really wild is happening at ??? (given address) and they cant miss it .... then the guy who wrote the article would show up on scene a little early and video the entire thing .... on that saturday morning around 9 am the whole block would be packed with cars and trucks and hundreds of people would be on the lawn of the intended person who was being pranked.... to me the thought of all those contractors looking at each other in confusion is the most hilarious part.... However........
I suggest you ignore people that are ignorant and immature. The best way to handle people like that is to ignore them or treat them like gold (extremely kindly)... it burns them up more than anything else but it's the most difficult thing to do but well worth it....Sooner or later the things they do will come back to them.....

What was the brand and model of the alto saxophone played in the song, Get Out of My Dreams, Get Into My Car?

Karas

The instrumental performance in the middle of the song by Billy Ocean entitled, "Get Out of My Dreams, Get Into My Car" was simply phenomenal. Please tell me the type (brand and model) of alto saxophone that was used in that song, and would a Yamaha YAS-82Z Custom Z Series Alto Saxophone with a black lacquer enable the same rapid playability?

Answer
Karas: That would be difficult to track down. Even knowing the musician, he/she would typically own several saxes, so, unless there's a fan site or forum that mentions it, you may never know what was played.

The good news is that those riffs can be played on any decent sax. As long as the instrument is well-maintained, the only limits to speed are the player's dexterity. That Yamaha is a great sax, so no problem there. I had a Yamaha YAS 21, not half the quality of the 82Z, and it was capable of fast licks like those.
