We want to supply building images and supply to a TV broadcasting company which will be using in their news bulletin broadcasting segments. What type camera and in what format it must be captured and supplied to them? This images are without audio or voice over. Only images the TV station wanted to air during news broadcasting?

Answer
There are several brands for the cameras -- Sony, Panasonic, Ikagami etc. It would depend upon which country or which service you are selling to, but generally you would need a "High Definition, Wide screen" video camera attached to a High Definition Betacam recorder, either as one unit or as separate units.
Other items needed would be --
A good quality Tripod, Portable lights, portable lights batteries, charger of portable lights, plug-in lights (usually three for news work), spare batteries for camera and recorder, charger for the camera batteries, Shotgun microphone, omnidirectional microphone, several microphone leads, raincoat for camera and recorder.
Other items that are not photographic --
News car (usually a station wagon or 4-wheel drive) with a roof rack that you can stand on, several scanners in the car to listen to police, fire, ambulance and other essential services, a mobile phone and possibly a two-way radio if you are working with one particular station on a contract basis.

What is the probibility of lightening hitting you in a car?

Q. What is the probibility of lightening hitting you in a car? While just driving down a highway or a regular road?

Answer
Cars can be hit, it's true, but it's very unlikely. You asked for probability and I don't know how anyone would go about calculating that. Suffice it to say, if getting struck by lightning is 1 in a million, getting your car struck while you are in it is probably something alot more remote!

The main difference being that when it does happen, the occupants are generally still safe if they don't panic or lose control...

I even found some videos...

(That second video is a trip!)

I once heard a story about a DeLorean that was hit and it went through time... hmmm....

Seriously, the fact that the car is sitting on rubber helps keep it from being electrically grounded, so it's more likley that the lightning will strike from someplace nearby with a whole lot better ground than your car. (A lightpole, a tree, etc.)

However, if the car does get hit you should still be protected by the virtual "Faraday cage" that is created by the structure of the car itself. (Go back to that second video!)

Be Safe, God Bless.
