I often find irate drivers think they have right of way just cause they are in a car.

Answer
I don't know about any laws, but surely its common courtesy to allow a blind person to cross the road safely. They usually have a dog. Where there is a crossing the dog just sits by the side of the crossing waiting. They seem to know when a driver slows. For every ones sake law or no law it makes sense to get anyone blind out of the way.Cyclists are another common hazard to the motorist and themselves.

What is the correct punishment for driving?

Is this too lenient a tariff? Or would it have been more appropriate to give her in marriage to an old man?
