guides on cars?

Airis

i've recently become interested in building cars i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find some good guild on how to? also a guild on how to build a turbine engine would be helpfull lol...

Answer
I suggest you look into buying an inexpensive and easy to work on car that will also be fun to drive like a Miata or 240sx. Then join a forum that specializes in that car such as Miata.net or NicoClub. In the different parts of those forums, you can find out information on how to maintain and upgrade parts in the engine (including info on turbochargers), transmission, electrical, etc.

Its always a good idea to know how things work before diving in and modifying them, so I suggest you check out these links.

I want to fix a car....?

doo da doo

I want to fix up an old car in my dad's driveway, but i dont know how to. is it okay if i go to the library and find a book on how to fix a car?
the car is a cheverolet truck.

Answer
I recommend the Reader's Digest Guide to Car Maintenance and Repair.

It has many photos and illustrations + easy-to-follow step by step instructions.

It came out in the 1980s but most of the info is still relevant. Try a good library or search the web for it.
