What's your opinion on the VW Passat winning "Car of the Year"?

Q. I think it sucks!

Answer
Considering Motor Trend has given 'Car of the Year' to some real duds in the past, it doesn't mean much.

1971 - Chevy Vega
1980 - Chevy Citation
1981 - Plymouth K Car
1983 - Renault Alliance
1995 - Chysler Cirrus
1997 - Chevy Malibu
2000 - Lincoln LS
2001 - Chysler PT Cruiser
2005 - Chrysler 300

All big pieces of dog crap!

Why isn't anyone talking about Electric Cars??

VC

Is this the great secret that neither candidate talks about?
It looks like Israel is going 100% electric in a 3 year span
http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-9854591-54.html. The companies
Renault-Nissan will be supplying their electric cars.
Also GM had the EV1 in 2000 in California with charging stations but big
oil got involved and GM took all EV1 cars back from their owners and crushed
every last one of them, watch "who killed the electric car" (www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vD33UMAtBY)
There are companies today like Tesla Motors that are making 100% electric
cars as well (www.tesla.com)
These car go over 200 miles per charge and over 80 mph!
With Solar, Wind and Charging stations wouldn't this make the most sense?
instead of talking about off shore drilling, or does Big Oil truly run our
country?
Your thoughts...

Answer
The alt fuels such as cng, hydrogen ,solar, & ethanol are in serious works now. But your right. Big oil killed all research or delayed it in the past. Now we are all suffering. However, the Chevy Volt will go into production soon. It's going to be another good two years I should think before everyone has an alt fuel car in production completely. We have plenty of cars & trucks that run on E85, but we need cars that are completely free of petrol use. As I have suggested before, oil will always be around until our deaths. But what you need to do is free yourself of oil dependancy. Buy one of those alt fuel cars. Or at least get one that gets really good fuel economy.
