hey i wanted to learn about the different parts of a car's engine. does anyone know where i can learn? websites, magazines, games, etc. thanks!

Websites: Wikipedia and Howstuffworks.com
Jalopnik and Autoblog can be educational, as well. Winding Road is good, but is more about news and reviews than random bits of information. Somethingawful.com's automotive forum, and some model-specific forums. (Most general automotive forums are worthless, though.)
Magazines: Racing-oriented magazines. Hot Rod, Grass Roots Motorsports, Sport Compact Car, the various Mustang, Mopar, and Chevy mags.
Games: Nothing really good. Gran Turismo is as close as you'll get really.
Etc: Buy a car that needs a lot of work. A Datsun Z, an old muscle car, an old VW, a DSM. Something like that. It will FORCE you to learn.

Mercury is owned by Ford and Lincoln. Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury are all American made cars. Ford is a normal, family or truck company, Merucury makes classier cars, Lincoln makes even classier cars than Mercury. Mercury and Lincoln both coppy cars made by ford and make them more luxurious.
