What do you think about the political situation in thailand?

Jeen S

You know? the PAD are against the ousted PM Taskin and are going on strike. They have closed down both airports and want the PM to step down, but the PM wants to remain in power. Its just ideas about what you think also give reasons. Thanks

Answer
their are 2 groups

"a group that want to see thailand develop with out corruption"
Vs
"a group that thing corruption is the way to develop thailand" (i am not kidding, they think that they said that out loud. )

the first group currently wearing yellow and close the air port right now asking and seeking for a way to reduce corruption in the country. they see that thailand have never had real democracy since every election majority of people in the north willing to sell there vote

the second group currently wearing red, and benefit from this dirty corruption money, they are asking to get the master of corruption, thaksin back to power.

so this 2 groups made it clear they will not walk the same path.

the people say that thailand had democracy, one person one vote, bkk people are wealthy, poor rural are support current gov.. they are ignorance.

saying it with out even know the country background
this people do not know that

-one person one vote are democracy but if people got money and give their vote to whoever give him/her the most, that is not democracy..
and this is the fake democracy currently being use and support by this government, people in the north and northeast in thailand.

-the southern rural, which more than 3000 of them has been kill resulted from thaksin miss-taken policy, also poor and need help. they also say no to this government.

-a lot of poor people in bangkok who work day to night living in a small apartment, no big house no farming land also say no to this gov

-a PM from a democratic state can not remove any law enforcement and take over any news media who try to investigate any of his and his family wrong doing as thai PM, taksin had done.

-northern and northeast rural are not poor if you see their house, car, farm, the way they spend money.
Have you ever heard that some thai parent sell their child for money? Do you know where this parent came from? Somebody say north? Then thing why they do that for money when they got their own land and farm?
Why farmer in the south has never had a record of doing that?

Thaksin put a lot of money into that area (but not education) because he know the nature of this people, and big part of the money he put here were taxes from the hardworking people in another place. it is no wonder why people in the north and northeast love him, but people in the other place hated him.

it is all about
who think corruption and benefit from corruption are bad for the country
and
who thing the other way around are the way to go for a democratic a state.

How can the political crisis in Thailand be resolved?

gavin S

The fundamental social divide that lies near the heart of the conflict is the yawning gulf between the bright lights of Bangkok and the upcountry rural masses.

I don't see any near-term resolution, There is a fundamental structural divide in Thai society. There is an urban-rural divide, and this is not just going to go away."

Answer
it is not a divide between urban and rural as you or many foreigner think.

it is the divided line between
"a group that want to see thailand develop with out corruption"
Vs
"a group that thing corruption is the way to develop thailand"

you know that the southern rural, which more than 3000 of them has been kill resultanted from thaksin miss-taken policy, also poor and need help?

you know that the poor in bangkok also anti taksin gov?

you know that even in the north there also have a small number of anti gov. (and one of them was ganged short dead 2 days ago)

everyone outside thailand just skip talking about this people. view only if you anti taksin, you must be someone rich, someone in bkk.
it is" IGNORANCE "

i really want to ask those ignorance out there

before you try to (un)justify the protester in BKK you better make sure that today "Thai government was legally elected in free and fair elections" ?

and

is it legal in your country to change ballot boxes when you think you are not going to win the election?

or is it fair for your if some very rich guy have to be jealed for 2 years, and he can just tell his brother and friend in the government to change the constitution for him, and later try to buy the judge?

and do not forget that in the democratic state a PM can remove any law enforcement and take over any news media who try to investigate any of his and his family wrong doing.

may be that call free and fair in your country but thai tax payer have seen this for almost 80 years and the last 5 years of the untouchable thaksin and his family proofed too much to keep quiet. this people think that is not free not fair and it is illegal.
and they do not want this system come back and haunt them again.

Sorry to know that the definition of free fare and democracy can be so much difference in each country.

and it is not fair to just people by location.
rural farmer in a 3rd world country like thailand doesn't always mean they are poor. look at some of their house car truck how they spend money etc...

then look at the real poor working all day in bangkok.
or the 3000 thais has been kill in the south end.

Have you ever seen northeast people spent money? if so, you will have no question why they are so poor.

Have you ever heard that some thai parent sell their child for money? Do you know where this parent came from? Somebody say north? Then thing why they do that for money when they got their own land and farm?
Why farmer in the south has never had a record of doing that?

Thaksin put a lot of money into that area (but not education) because he know the nature of this people, and big part of the money he put here were taxes from the hardworking people in another place. it is no wonder why people over there love him, but people in the other place hated him.

open your eyes, learn thing before you make a comment on something you do not really know what are you talking about!
