SARS has blown over that happened 7 years ago then is topless that blew, now car chases then fires now. Is this news just to make and sell news?

Answer
People just tend to forget, with all the other news that is being crammed down their throat.

That's what politicians rely on.

How can paramedics and firefighters deal with emotions in tragic and gory situations?

Very often, if I hear in the news about car accidents were young people died i feel sad, and sorry for them, cant get it outof my head for days. Last time I just saw facebook friend lighting virtual candles for a girl, I almost can feel their pain of loss. How can paramedics and firefighters live happily if they not just hear, the see the bloody gory reality week by week. And policemans, who must knock on the parents door and say "Your 18 year old daughter has lost her life in a car accident"

Answer
You either learn to handle it, you burnout, or you quit. A lot of paramedics who work 12+ calls a day become burned out. I know one who is handling a burnout. There are also cases where firefighters can't sleep at night because they wake up from calls they have had. My friend wakes up still at night from one of 3 calls he has had when he was on a fire department.
