what is there to do in October in Sydney Australia?

I'm from the USA and my boyfriend and I are thinking of going on a week vacation in early October. Do we need a car to get anywhere? I've looked online for flight+hotel+car info and haven't found anything for a car. What is there to do there for fun? are there clubs, zoos, aquariums? I'd figure I'd ask on here before I go online and look.

Sydney is a city of approx 4 million people ...it is a modern , progressive ,cosmopolitan city with everything that you would expect ....

If you get a car be sure to get a satnav system or you'll struggle to find your way around & do your homework beforehand ...know what you want to see... eg The Opera House , Sydney Harbour , Taronga Park Zoo , the Aquarium at Manly ( go by ferry or hydrofoil )...

We are a kiwi family of 4 looking at moving to Adelaide and would like any kiwis who have moved there to give?

us some info on the cost of living rent food etc, also good schools Primary and college. Good safe family areas to live, close to schools shops and cafes would be nice. My other halves's job in in the Northern Eastern area of Adelaide he would be prepared to travel 30Min's to work by car.

am not a kiwi but a south aussie living costs are cheaper here than sydney or melbourne . Golden grove , surrey downs , blakeview are all good family suburbs stay away from davoren park , smithfield plains areas also closer to city woodville and blair athol r bad
