I already know about the cast ones from ats and bd! they are not what im looking for. thanks for any info!

Answer
i think banks makes a more tubular style manifold, but it is not anything like a tubular car header because it still has to be meaty enough to hold up a 25 pound turbo.

I have a stock header and stock exhaust, can i remove exhaust from header and put back on or not?

I have a 1996 civic lx and i would like to improve airflow when i race this weekend and i can't find any info on taking the same one off and putting it back on. Please let me know if it will work. Thanks
its a 5 speed not an automatic and yes its on the track.

Answer
when you say race, I hope you mean you're taking it to the track. None the less, a civic LX won't beat...anything.

If you take off your exhaust right after the header (Before the Cat), you will loose all your back pressure and therefore lose a noticable amount of power. If you take it off after the cat, you won't gain any power at all - it'll just be obnoxiously loud - but not loud enough to drown out the crowd yelling "ricer" at you. Keep it the way it is.

But seriously, if you're going to be racing a stock automatic civic lx in any fashion (again, i hope you're doing it the legal route), I'd recommend just watching other people, unless you just want to figure out where you need to improve on your driver skill. I wouldn't expect to beat anything in that car.
