SHORTiE

Im planning on getting a new car in the next couple of weeks and Im stuck between getting a Corolla, a Prius or a Honda Fit. Which is the better choice? Most reliable?

Answer
They are all good cars. I got a 2010 Corolla last July and have over 10,000 trouble-free miles on it. The steering was a bit sensitive at first, but the car seems to have learned how to go the way I like to drive- you know how computers are. Computers adjust everything to conditions the car experiences. I have a friend who has a Fit she got a couple of years ago. She is still very happy with it and has not had one problem. She drove it from Walnut Creek to Lake Tahoe several times and said the drive was always very comfortable in her fit. She is a tall woman and her husband is tall as well. She would have liked a "dead pedal" to rest her left foot on, but that's minor, she said. One of my wife's friends has a Prius she bought in 2005, new. I asked her about it after all the fear issues started filling the news. She said she has never had a problem with her Prius. She loves it. She is a person who drives the wheels off a car, but her Prius is still soldiering along- a happy car. The only reason I didn't get a Prius instead of a Corolla LE that I got is the Corolla was under $15,000. Our old Corolla we replaced with the new one had over 200,000 miles on it and still passed smog tests.

What does all this mean? Try them all and find your own happiness with one of them. Make your deal with the internet sales manager so the hungry guys on the yard don't beat you out of all your money for what the ISM can get you for a couple of thousand dollars less.I do mean a couple of thousand dollars.

Is there anything women are naturally better at?

Danger Exh

Besides pleasing a man and giving birth?

We definitely don't need all 4 billion or so women giving birth, that would be terrible.

And don't say raising children because I don't believe single mothers are better than men at that.

Answer
Here is a list of things followed by actual evidence, I hope this helps!

â¦dealing with a broken heart

A survey of over 1,000 singles published in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior found that men suffer more after a split and dwell longer on the breakup.

â¦driving

Male motorists have a 77 percent higher risk of dying in a car crash than women, according to a Carnegie Mellon University study. In New York City, a 2010 traffic study found that, over the previous five years, 80 percent of all crashes in which pedestrians were seriously injured involved men behind the wheel.

â¦being a student

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, colleges graduate 185 women for every 100 men. Itâs estimated that by 2016, 61 percent of bachelorâs, 63 percent of masterâs and 58 percent of doctoral degrees will go to women.

â¦giving directions

Undercover researchers from Saint Josephâs University in Philadelphia asked a group of men and women for directions to popular tourist destinations (knowing full well how to get there) and found that the women were more adept at giving the instructions. They believe the women took time to think through the process and not make wild, inaccurate guesses the way the men were prone to do.

â¦investing

Men are more likely to sell their shares of stock at the wrong time, upping their losses, says a 2009 study by investment management company Vanguard. Whatâs more, a study of menâs and womenâs portfolios between 2003 and 2004 found that the average womanâs portfolio rose 10 percent that yearâ3 points higher than the rise of the entire market and 4 points higher than the average manâs.

â¦remembering things

Two recent studies show that women scored 5 percent higher on tests of verbal memory and face recall respectively than their male counterparts. Also, a 2008 study from Sweden found that women were better at remembering words, objects and pictures.

â¦hammering

Women were 10 percent more accurate at pounding on a mechanical plate that measured force and accuracy, says research from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

â¦newscasting

Swiss researchers had 160 subjects watch newscasts and then asked them to fill out questionnaires about the broadcast. The findings indicate that people think news reported by female newscasters is more credible.
