My car is making a weird ticking noise coming from the front. It happens when the car is moving, with engine on or off, or even in neutral. Whenever car is moving, and only when moving, the noise happens.

Gets faster when car is faster.

Thanks for any help!
Does not come from either wheel as we jacked each side up on left the other side on ground, and with only one side spinning at a time, it still made the noise.

Answer
The way you describe this makes it sound like it makes the noise only when the drive train it spinning, wether it be rolling down the road or up on a jack stand. Follow me here: car driving in D, everything is spinning, in N all is still spinning, engine off coasting in N it's all still spinning. Now with the car jacked up on one side, you only have one axle spinning but the transmission is spinning also, now with the other side jacked up and running the other wheel the trans is still spinning. About the only thing it could be by the way you describe it is inside the transmission, something internal. It has to be something that is spinning in every situtation you describe and the trans is the only thing doing that. Could be a loose torque convertor, where it bolts to the flywheel. That would be your simplest fix. If that's not it it has to be inside the trans. Does it make the noise when the engine is running and just sitting, idleing in park or neutral? If not, you can pretty much rule out the loose torque convertor. Your first description is pretty straight forward but your added info kind of makes it a little strange sounding. Good luck.

How can I get my car horn to stop honking by itself?

My car horn has been honking every so often by itself and is locking my door in the process.Does anyone know why this is happening and what is making it happen?

Answer
ALWAYS include the TYPE of car you have! The NAME< make, model, COUNTRY of ORIGIN< mileage ENGINE SIZE! NOBODY can answer a question like this without MORE INFO!!! The CLASSIC answer is a GROUNDING FAULT at the steering wheel! Many times the GROUND WIRE is not totally screwed in at the factory! If you REMOVE the COVER going around your STEERING COLUMN or look UNDER THE DASHBOARD< you might just get LUCKY! You can stop in at ANY AFTERMARKET car stereo shop and THEY can help you, many times for FREE! GOOD LUCK!!
