I just bought a iphone 4s. When I hold the Home button down to access Siri, something called Voice Control pops up on the screen. Which is a way to access my contacts. Nothing related to Siri comes up. I tried going into location services under settings but could not figure it out. Please help me find Siri!!

Answer
The first thing you have to do with SIRI is add your name, if you want it to address you by name, and the language you want to speak, or rather listen to. Go to Settings>General>SIRI>My Info

Choose your name from the contact list and SIRI will address you by name. Choose the language you want to use and youâre all set. You can make other changes in the area too. They are very self-explanatory, so you wonât need step-by-step directions.

From far, far away â You can use SIRI by two different ways. If itâs across the room, on the dashboard of your car, or sitting on the table at home, press the home button. Hold it until there are two quick beeps. A microphone should appear on the screen. Start talking. Thatâs it! Pretty easy, huh? Just check to see if the microphone is on the screen and SIRI is ready for you to start talking and giving orders. You donât even need to yell or hold it close to your mouth.

From up, up close â Just pick it up and use is normally. Youâll still hear the two beeps that tell you SIRI is ready for your commands.

Remember, any voice recognition program has to be âprogrammedâ before it will work properly.

Itâs best if you talk in a normal voice but SIRI still needs you to enunciate (slowly say) many words before it will understand your voice. When you speak slowly and clearly it gets use to the way you speak and will deliver your commands better.

Always Have a Strong Connection â SIRI uses a remote server to process your words, so having a good connection will transmit your commands better.

Be Precise â In what you want SIRI to do. Instead of saying, âplay iTunesâ say, âPlay my playlist number 5â. Itâs easier for SIRI to understand specific command rather than general commands.

No Stuttering â Try not to stop in the middle of a command. Try not to use `ummmmâ or change the command in the middle of giving one. Use the whole command in one sentence or one go. SIRI can handle several commands but only if it/he/she has them all at once.

Speak Names Clearly â Say names clearly. When adding a contact you might have to repeat it several times before SIRI understands. Just say the name again and SIRI will give you an option box for the name. Accents need to be programmed into SIRI before it/he/she will understand the way your pronounce words.

Choose Relationship â When adding contacts, choose a relationship such as wife, son, daughter so you can say, âCall my wifeâ or âCall my daughterâ and SIRI will dial it right away.

How to get an auxiliary input in your car?

Chris

Hey there i just got a ford mustang 1998. Now obviously since its a 1998 it doesn't have an auxiliary input. Which i would like so i can play my iphone through the cars speakers. What can i do to get an auxiliary input in my car/how much would it cost just any info you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Does it have a cassette player? You can buy an adaptor that has a dummy cassette on one end, and a small stereo jack plug on the other. Place dummy cassette in player, connect jack to sound source, and your problem is solved. You should be able to pick one up in a shop or online for around £10.

Otherwise, you can buy a small radio transmitter that plugs into your audio device, which can send the sound to your car's radio. Just turn on and tune in.
