Today at a signal light, a car hit the back of my car. what info was i suppose to acquire from them?

i was a stop and the car hit the back of my car and it scratched it up a bit, no major problems. i got their license, license plate, phone number and and registration number of the car. Was there anything else i needed from them?

Contact info from witnesses
Most importantly** a POLICE REPORT
You may have made a big mistake not doing that. Even though it was a minor accident not filing a report cause a downfall, next time get one.

what is a registration number? i have already filled in the vin number. what do i put in place of dealer info, since i am an individual. it asks for license and tax number. also, do i have to fill out the back?

I believe you only have to sign where it says
owner selling the vehicle - date it - mileage -
and you may have to get it notarized

but you are not a dealer - (are you?) nope

probably all you need is on the front - call DMV tomorrow

AND a "bill of Sale" - on your computer - a letter format
that it is given to XXXXXXX
describe the vehicle - VIN - mileage

you date and sign that (and keep a copy in your computer)
