Other than the year, we have an idea of the license plate number but not sure. I mean is there some kind of website I can go to to find out vehicle info, have no VIN nothing.
See what happened is that our car was stolen 3 days ago and we still haven't reported it because we don't know the license plate and it was registered to someone else also registered in OREGON state. All the paperwork for some dumb reason were in the car. Old classic car.

Do you buy the car first then get insurance or the other way around?

How could you get insurance if u don't have a car to fill out the car quotes info like millage, make, year, and so forth if u did not buy the car as yet?

Hi: you answered your own question.
Until you know the year , make, model , VIN number etc you can not get the insurance set up.
So buy the car, get the info, call insurance agent and you are done.
