Can you turn a classic car into a green car?

I really want a classic car, but I don't want to destroy the world by getting a gas guzzler. Would it even be possible to buy a project car with nothing in it, like a shell, and then put different parts inside that were not originally in it. Like put in the parts that were in a Prius or something. Would it be possible to do this with a old mustang? Or would it just not work. If it did work, how much would it cost to do it?

Answer
If you get a classic car and turn it into a green car you'd ruin the point of the classic car!

A good alternative would be to talk to a trusted mechanic about this or if you're handy simply buy the entire internal compents of a fuel efficient car than a replica of a classic car body and attach it to the fuel efficient car's frame.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
There are also companies that sell old mustang synthetic replicas and kit cars for classic cars. Simply buy the kit, and use it to replace the shell of the fuel efficient car. You easily could but it would take awhile and you should hire someone who is very handy or has done this for others before.

Fly Drive from Vancouver to San Francisco?

Little C

We are thinking of driving from vancouver to san francisco next year and looking for some tips - best places to visit, best hotels, car hire etc. any info would be great.

Answer
It depends on how long you have.
Driving is longer of course but the saving over airfare is enough to pay for the hotel and gas for driving down & back.
San Francisco is loaded with all sorts of things.
Best Hotels, many, how much you willing to spend? 500 / 700 a night. Or a good Hotel for 125.00 plus a night?
Car rental, many companies, but if you drive you save again.
