Answer
Ok, well if you know absolutely nothing about car audio, there are so many aspects to it. I've been into car audio for a little over a year now and I know a whole lot about it, but there is still so much I have to learn. Basically, for a simple setup, you will need a amp kit which consists of power wire, ground wire, and REM wire. You will need obviously, the amp and the subs along with a box that meets the subs specs. When purchasing amps and subs you will pay attention to the RMS power rating and always ignore peak, or max power. There are tons of videos & info on youtube, sonicelectronix, and crutchfield that give all sorts of usefull tips. Clubknowledge is another place with tons of usefull info, read the FAQs section and you'll likely find all the info you need there. Also check out some post's by users like myself, we ask questions and the more experienced members give great info and suggestions.

Good Luck!

AUTOSHOP ESSAY HELP!!(about nissan skylines) (car experts please!)?

nick

Ok so i am writing an essay for an autoshop class at community college and was assigned the Nissan Skyline. i am supposed to be covering R32-R34 and not r35, and there were two questions i need to cover, but when i took a second to gather my thoughts it turned out that besides knowing the technical specs and that sort of stuff i dont really know enough about the specific car to answer the following questions:

1.) What was it about your assigned car (skyline) that made it was a great performance car (and please do not include references to any hollywood movies)

2). knowing what you know aout your assigned car (skyline) if given the chance to go back in time to work on the production of the car, what would you have changed about PERFORMANCE ONLY that would have made the car an even more well rounded/higher performance car?

thank you!

Answer
Info is going to be little with the room on here so i will add a few bits then links so you can go deeper into an answer.

R32 Skyline was a great performance car when built as it was way ahead of its competitors,it proved itself during racing such at ones held at bathurst where the Skyline ruled the races that long that rules where changed to stop it taking part and confirming the Skylines Godzilla title.

The engine in this car as well as other Skyline models from the none turbo to the single turbo engines placed a major role in the car being great mix ed with all the cars other features made for an ultimate weapon. more links below with more info.

Also the R32 Skyline saw the development of the Attesa system.

and

and

The R33 Skyline was made bigger than the R32 as reasons where people wanted a bigger more roomy model and also rules where changing in the car market and a safer car was needed so the extra room was needed also to carry these extra safety features, also on release this was the fastest production car around the Nurburgring again look at links for engine upgrades etc

If we move onto the R34 then we have a mix of an R32 and an R33 as owners felt he R33 lack the feel of the R32 and myself do get that as the R32 does feel nippy and around town it feels fast around every street although on the open road it did feel super fast put lack a raw feeling this is where the R33 alters it is also nippy around corners although does feel a lot less nippy than the R32 but once on that open road it feels like it has come to life and feels more raw like a wangan racer more than the R32 does.

So with those feeling felt generally the R34 was a mix of the power set low and high and the cars setup altered to allow the car to have the nippy feeling of the R32 mixed with the raw racer feel of the R33 so yes the R34 is a great car but you have to look at the facts that it took an R32 and an R33 to make it that way.

Back in time the R34 solved part of that problem with its mix of two already great cars but poor sales of the R34 and its high emissions led to the Skyline being redrawn up in the form of the V35/G35 model, with even the Skyline neo engine coming to late.So to save the Skyline performance was an issue with being able to make sure a great engine more eco friendly before its time and obvious points per model could have been altered to allow a better engine per model but these where met per each model.

I may add more later as it is after 2am here, also look at the links and find some angles deeper than i could do with my limited words on here.
